On the Ground in Gaza

*At 9:28 pm last night (we looked at our watches when it happened) here in Ashdod, there was a huge explosion that emanated from Gaza. This morning we found out what it was:

A 9 meter deep crater in Khan Younis.

Blown to pieces were three HamISIS Brigade Commanders who participated in October 7: Sumar Tevesh, Iman Mabukh, and Samer Abu Deka.

*As you know by now, the IDF has been engaged in an extensive effort in Gaza for the past few weeks to inoculate the population against polio. The goal is to vaccinate 600,000 children in 9 days. This push came about because a 10-month-old boy contracted polio and was paralyzed.

As you might suspect, HamISIS has used the vaccination attempt to transport its terrorists around Gaza. Yesterday, forces from the 252nd Division stopped a “polio aid” convoy headed to north Gaza a kilometer from Nuseirat and discovered a van full of terrorists inside.

*Elsewhere, not technically in Gaza but nearby along the Egyptian border, terrorists tried to ram a group of IDF soldiers. They were unhurt, but the terrorists escaped.

On the Ground in the North

Another 8 barrages of 100+ missiles and drones from Hezbollah yesterday: the barrage at Shlomi at 3:14 pm wounded two IDF soldiers. An exploding drone hit the 18th floor of a residential building in Nahariya.

The IDF spokesman this morning:

“During the night, fighter jets of the Air Force attacked military buildings of the terrorist organization Hezbollah in the areas of Aita al-Sha’ab, al-Khyam and al-Nakura in southern Lebanon. In addition, the IDF attacked with mortar fire in the A-Nakura area in southern Lebanon.”

Elsewhere On the Ground in Israel

*Israel was transfixed yesterday as Shin Bet and the Israel Police brought traffic on Highway 6 to a halt when they intercepted a van with 13 illegal Palestinians in it–and hauled them all out face down on the freeway.

Even today, it is not clear was was discovered. Various reports said that 1 of the 13 was on his way to a terror attack, and that weapons were found in the van.

*Soon afterward, a similar incident took place inside a Highway 1 tunnel leading to Jerusalem. What we witnessed were Shin Bet Agents jumping out of their car and breaking open the windows of another car full of illegals.

Again, it is not clear what was discovered.

*Custom inspectors at the Rabin border crossing near Eilat discovered terrorist driving a Mitsubishi car with 74 Glock pistols and a large cache of ammunition inside.

You might remember that it was a Glock pistol that the Jordanian truck driver used to murder the 3 Israelis at the Allenby Crossing.

*Speaking of the Jordanian terrorist, the Jordanians announced this morning that they have uncovered and arrested a 4-man terror cell that was bound for Israel. This is simply King Abdullah’s way to show that he is doing something. They will undoubtedly be released tomorrow.

And so it goes in Israel thus far this morning . . .
