Around the same time, an Israeli woman was wounded when hit by “rocks” thrown by a Palestinian terrorist at Beit Orot in Jerusalem.

Two terrorists were captured near Beit Hagai prior to a planned terror attack.

Rioting in Gush Etzion, Shuafat, A-Tur; Molotovs thrown at a car near Negahot; “rock” assaults at the Tapuach Junction, Halhul, Al-Fawwar, Hebron (at a children’s playground in the Avraham Avinu neighborhood), and at Turmusayya among other places: these were just a few of the terrorist attacks during the day.

Do you know how happy the Israeli and international media are to continually characterize people on the “Right” as “extremists”–and talk about how these “Rightists” are responsible for a moral deterioration in the country?

The “Rightists” are blamed for everything from disrespecting the Israel Supreme Court to being disloyal to the IDF. They are accused of sponsoring “racist” legislation in the Knesset and even fomenting “revolution.” According to the media narrative, every problem in Israel can be traced back to the “Right.”

Even more specifically, there is always a media rush to blame “Rightists” for so-called “price tag” attacks involving the writing of hate speech and symbols on Arab property, and the destruction of Arab property. 

They are almost always blamed on the basis of “writing” in Hebrew which is left at the scene of the crime. For the media, the phrase “Death to Arabs” written on a Arab home, car, or building can only mean one thing: “rightists” carried out the attack.

A few weeks ago, Arab residents of Bet Zarzir awoke to find the walls of the local school spray-painted with “Death to Arabs!” The windows of the school were smashed, and the warehouse was broken into and property stolen.

All of the Israel media was horrified by this hate crime, and the usual accusations were made against the “right.” 

Well guess what? In an outcome that repeats itself over and over again, two Arab “youths” from Zarzir have confessed to the perpetrating the incident at the school.  

The same sequence of events occurred in Zarzir 4 years ago.

In any case, after they confessed, the perpetrators were released to house arrest.

Released to house arrest? If teenaged members of the “right” had confessed, they would have been chucked willy-nilly into prison–and the key would have been thrown away. And they would have languished there for months without a lawyer, without being charged, and with no access to their families.

What is the point of this blog today?

Simply, the next time you read about a hate crime in Israel in which “Death to Arabs!” was written in Hebrew, don’t jump to conclusions about who wrote it.
