Palestinian terror

Saturday saw Palestinian terrorists carry out attacks on Israeli civilians and security personnel at Abu Dis, Qalqilya, Hizma, Lotzrin, Singil, Beit Ummar, Jib, Anata, Kefin, Gush Etzion, Hevron and at least 10 other locations.

In two of the attacks, motorists were wounded by Molotov firebombs, and in a number of incidents, Israelis were treated for trauma.

You will see none of these events reported in the Israeli or international news.

Things are not going well for Hezbollah in Syria

Yesterday, Iranian Brigadier Yahya Rahim Safavi, a military advisor to “Supreme Leader” Ali Khamenei, came out and made the rather remarkable statement that Hezbollah has lost “thousands” of fighters in Syria.

This is what we have been reporting here on israelstreet for the last 2 years as the casualty lists slowly dribble out of Beirut. It also confirms why Hezbollah is now recruiting teenagers as young as 14 to fight.

By the way, Hezbollah is not only fighting in Syria now, but also in Iraq and even in Yemen–anywhere they are ordered to do so by Iran.

The Rabin Farce in Tel Aviv Last Night

To hear the Israeli news media tell the tale, “hundreds of thousands” poured into Tel Aviv’s Rabin Square last night to pay tribute to Yitzhak Rabin on the 21st anniversary of his assassination.

To hear people on the ground relate what actually happened, between 50,000 and 100,000 ultra-leftists (and children) filtered into Rabin Square last night and were incited by ultra-leftist leaders such as Isaac Herzog and Tzipi Livni who delivered inflammatory speeches excoriating PM Netanyahu, the Netanyahu government, and all of the people in Israel who support them.

In many ways, it was a replay of the infamous rally that took place in early March 2014 that played a large role in costing the Herzog/Livni party the election two weeks later. That rally, as the one last night, was a racist rant against whole segments of the Israeli populace (especially those of Sephardic background).

Interestingly, up until about two weeks ago, the rally was not even scheduled to take place–simply due to a lack of interest and money. But at the last moment, Herzog and Livni stepped in and quickly declared that it would be less a paean to Rabin and more an attack on Netanyahu and the Israeli right.

In her speech, Livni outrageously suggested that another political assassination may be on the immediate horizon and summed up the theme of the evening: “We came here tonight to prevent the shaming and persecution of journalists, officers, and judges. We are here to prevent the next political murder.”

Others repeated the fraudulent canard that it was Netanyahu who precipitated Rabin’s murder by calling Rabin a “traitor” during a 1995 rally in Jerusalem. Actual video footage of that 1995 rally shows Netanyahu specifically telling the crowd “Rabin is not a traitor. No. He is badly mistaken . . . but he is not a traitor, not a traitor. We are dealing with political rivals, not with enemies. We are part of the same nation.”

But never mind. Many of the people who were there were actually groups of children who were bused in by leftist groups from all over the country (we saw many of them sleeping in parks all over Tel Aviv during the day). Those kids were not alive in 1995–or even in 2005.

Perhaps the following picture best illustrates the groups which Herzog and Livni invited to come:

The booth of "Breaking the Silence." The picture that the man on the left is holding is the same as the picture on the placard in the middle. It reads "This is the way that the occupation looks."

The booth of “Breaking the Silence.” The picture that the man on the left is holding is the same as the picture on the placard in the middle. It reads “This is the way that the occupation looks.” It pictures Israeli soldiers supposedly humiliating Palestinian terrorist prisoners.

The fact that Breaking the Silence, a hideous group that pays its members to travel around the world denigrating the IDF and Israel, was invited to come speaks volumes about the tenor of the rally and the extreme ideology of the crowd.

It is an ideology not shared by the vast majority of Israelis–and, by the way, was not shared by Yitzhak Rabin.
