The News on the Israeli Street

Palestinian terror in the last 72 hours in Judea and Samaria . . .

While our focus in the last three days has been on the missile fire from Gaza, Palestinians in Judea and Samaria have been on a terror rampage.

Palestinian terrorists throwing “rocks” and Molotovs attacked Israelis at more than 50 locations including Tekoa, Hawara, the Tapuach Junction, Khawra, Beit Sahur, Mt. Hevron, Beit Haggai, Al-Aruv, the Hevron Bypass Junction, Ofra, Luban a Sharqiya, Negohot, Halhul, Sinjil, Road 443 near the Dor Gas Station, Hizma, Hassin, Azzun, the Karmi Tzur Junction, Beit Furik, Deir Nizam, Al Fawwar, Hevron, the Gush Etzion Spring, Curve 160 in Hevron, Al Khader, the Ma’aleh Levanon Junction, the Adorim Junction, the Hasnu Junction, the Gush Etzion-Hevron Road, on Road 443 near Beit Ader Shatta, Deir Abu Mash’al, Janya, and Talmon. At virtually all of the above locations, terrorists carried out multiple attacks.

Palestinian terrorists using Molotovs and IEDs set fire to an IDF military observation post at the entrance to Beit Anun, and attempted to set fire to another post at Khursa.

TODAY’S BLOG:

“2500 members of Islamic Jihad should have been killed.”

Five interesting quotes interspersed with your humble servant’s comments constitute today’s blog. Herewith:

1. “The new rules of the game are clear: the IDF will operate with complete freedom of action, with no restrictions. A terrorist who tries to hurt the citizens of Israel will no longer be able to sleep peacefully, neither in his home nor in his bed, nor anywhere in hiding.”

Men seek side effects from cialis different approaches to stop premature ejaculation so that they can enjoy sex and at the same time, give their partner the pleasure of orgasm again and again. Kloner says updated guidelines in a viagra pfizer prix few years or months of possible respite from the invisible stream of data vying for our attention, assaulting our consciousness and our eyeballs.
Defense Minister Naftali Bennett

If this were only true–that terrorists will be targeted and eliminated. However, as we all know, Israel will quickly lapse back into a passive reactive state.

2.  “The message from a ceasefire at this point is equality. We eliminated some terrorists and they disabled half a country.”

MK Yoaz Handel of the Kahol Levan Party

What Handel says is true; how have we gotten to a point where a two-bit terrorist outfit can fire missiles at Israel and disable half the country?

3. “We met the three goals we set ourselves: the elimination of al-‘Ata, leaving Hamas out of the picture, and keeping the war as short as possible.”

Deputy Defense Minister Avi Dichter

So these were the three goals? Isn’t there something missing such as soundly defeating the terrorists?

4. “The intention was to strive for a quick finish of the war. If there had been fatalities in Tel Aviv, we would still be fighting.”

Amos Harel, reporter for Haaretz

Very true. We all know (nauseatingly) that the government thinks that a person’s life in Tel Aviv is worth more than the life of a person who lives in southern Israel.

5. “This round was bizarre, we killed a medium-level commander and were hit by hundreds of rockets without responding appropriately. The round finished even more bizarrely. My opinion is that anyone who shoots rockets at civilians is a war criminal and thus should be treated. Either he should be arrested and spend a long time in jail or he should be eliminated. 2,500 members of Islamic Jihad should have been killed, that would have been a fitting response.”

Yitzchack Ilan, former deputy director of the Shin Bet intelligence service, speaking yesterday on Radio 103FM.

OneIsrael could not agree more.
