The News on the Israeli Street
Palestinian terror in Judea and Samaria . . .
We report here at OneIsrael about “rock” and Molotov attacks on Israeli families almost everyday. Yesterday was no different with attacks at Al Aruv, Psagot, Beit Ummar, Neve Tzuf, Shilo, Hevron, the Tunnel Road into southern Jerusalem, Jib, and a host of other places such as Al-Fawwar.
We should always remember that these attacks are designed to kill Israelis. The attack mentioned above that took place in Al-Fawwar yesterday almost succeeded:
But from this angle, it is much easier to understand:
The person in this seat was sliced badly by the glass–and hit in the head by the “rock”. She is currently in critical condition at Sha’are Zedek Hospital.
On the Gaza border . . .
Daily attacks against our soldiers at the border fence and daily fire-starting “balloons” launched into southern communities continue to be the order of the day.
At the moment, the leaders of Hamas and Islamic Jihad are in Cairo where a long-term “ceasefire” is supposedly being worked out. Of course, this is all a farce. The two terrorist organizations have entered into dozens of these agreements before only to break them at a moment’s notice.
Netanyahu flies to Lisbon . . .
In the midst of all the supposed attempts to form a government and avoid another election, PM Netanyahu flew to Portugal and is meeting today with U.S. Secretary of State Pompeo.
According to the Prime Minister’s office, the two subjects for discussion are Iran and annexation of the Jordan Valley.
By the way, the Jordanians announced yesterday that if the Jordan Valley is annexed, then its treaty with Israel will be thrown in the garbage.
Of course the Jordanians already behave as if there is no peace treaty with Israel.
Speaking of forming a government . . .
Avigdor Lieberman has been true to form this morning. A day after leaving the door open to forming a “narrow right wing government”, he declared that “under no circumstances” will he do so.
Which basically leaves us at Election number 3 in late February or mid March.
