One of the interesting stories that has resurfaced today (originally reported in Israel’s Haaretz newspaper) is that Israel was on the verge of assassinating Soleimani back in 2015, but had to terminate its plans when the Obama Administration warned Tehran that Soleimani was being watched and targeted by Israel.
After all, nothing was more important to Obama, Kerry, and the European Union than the Iranian Nuclear Weapons Appeasement Deal.
Also being reported is that President Trump gave Israel the green light to go after Soleimani in 2018, but Israel never was able to hone in on the elusive terrorist general.
