The Disgusting Photo of the Day

This was the scene in southern Israel this afternoon. Most of the bagged garbage is what park rangers picked up from parts of the park.

This was the scene in southern Israel this afternoon. Most of the bagged garbage is what park rangers picked up from parts of the park.

After weeks of being in a lockdown, thousands of Israelis flocked to nature today–especially to the area in the south near Sderot known for its beautiful red poppies.

They came, they saw, they dumped their garbage everywhere, and they left.

The News on the Israeli Street

The daily Corona (Covid-19) update . . .

Please note that these numbers encompass from 4 pm Friday until 8 pm today (Sunday):

723,038 Israelis have been confirmed with the virus since the pandemic began last March.

There are 4,292 newly confirmed cases.

1,008 are in critical condition—an increase of 6

284 of the most critically ill are on ventilators—a decrease of 31

5,368 have died–an increase of 64

There are currently 61,244 active Corona cases in Israel.

3,905,119 million have now received at least one dose of vaccine.

Corona big brother goes into full force . . .

At the Cabinet meeting this morning, PM Netanyahu said that he will “pass legislation” that will allow the government to obtain the names of everyone in the country who has not been vaccinated.

The purpose of the legislation will be to stop those who are unvaccinated from coming into contact with those who are. To put this a different way, all unvaccinated people will be immediately stigmatized and literally outcast from from anyone except their own family.

Today, the Israeli Navy instructed all sailors who have been vaccinated to wear a green ribbon around their necks and to avoid contact with sailors not wearing green ribbons.

Mount Hevron residents take matters into their own hands . . .

This morning at 5 am, a large number of residents demonstrated at Zoharim Square between Kfar Zoharim and Tarkumiya.

They were there to do more than merely demonstrate. Their purpose was to try to prevent the entry of thousands of illegal Palestinians into Israel through “gaps” in the security fence.

Amazingly, the illegal Palestinians just waltz across the border with no corona or security check and into awaiting buses that transport them to Israeli cities.

Each and every day.

There is no word on how successful the residents were.

Benny Gantz shows his true colors again . . .

As you may know, the Jewish National Fund has decided that it may change its policy to allow the organization to buy Palestinian-owned land in and around Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria.

Such purchases would likely run into the tens of millions of dollars.

This morning Benny Gantz appealed to the head of the JNF to postpone its decision claiming that it will upset “diaspora Jewry” and negatively affect relations with the Biden Administration.

Once again, Gantz is doing all he can to ingratiate himself with Washington and earn a spot on the Trash Israel Speakers’ Circuit. Current polls show his Blue and White Party barely earning 4 seats (the least possible) in the next Knesset.
