Absurd Comment of the Day
During the next four years, we can fully expect that the abominable White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki will make one absurd comment after another.
Three weeks after the Biden Administration rushed to remove the Iranian proxy Houthis in Yemen from the terrorist list and at the same time expressed disapproval of any Saudi actions against the group, Psaki came to the microphone today and proclaimed that the “Biden Administration is disturbed by recent Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia” and “is working with the Saudis” concerning the threat.
It’s 1984 all over again at the White House (with apologies to George Orwell).
The News on the Israeli Street
The daily Corona (Covid-19) update . . .
Please note that these numbers encompass from 8 pm Sunday to 8 pm today (Monday):
803,260 Israelis have been confirmed with the virus since the pandemic began last March.
There are 2,539 newly confirmed cases.
708 are in critical condition—a decrease of 8
223 of the most critically ill are on ventilators—an increase of 13
5,899 have died–an increase of 38
There are currently 37,698 active Corona cases in Israel.
4,929,101 have now received at least one dose of vaccine.
Basically, the numbers seem to be trending in the right direction–except for the most important of all: the number of daily dead seems to be moving upward again.
The phenomenon of the unvaccinated . . .
Israel continues to have a problem with hospital staff and doctors who refuse to get vaccinated.
This morning Hadassah Hospital fired 80 staff members because of their refusal.
There is no real explanation except that a very large number of hospital workers these days in Israel are Israeli-Arabs, and as a group, Israeli-Arabs seem more receptive to the idea that vaccination is dangerous.

Now that Israel has been accused of war crimes by the ICC . . .
. . . there has been a rush of so-called “human rights” organizations in Israel to volunteer to provide evidence against IDF soldiers led by B’Tselem and Yesh Din.
According to NGO Monitor, 58% of the funding for these two groups and others comes directly from foreign governments led by Germany, Spain, Denmark, Sweden, and Switzerland.
The private sector is also providing funding led by the New Israel Fund, the Sigrid Rausing Trust, and George Soros.
TODAY’S BLOG:
Another Outpouring of Palestinian Terrorism
A stabbing, an attempted stabbing, a sniper attack on IDF soldiers, more than a dozen assaults on Israeli motorists and buses, a brazen attack on Israeli police, an attempt to burn down a Jewish community security fence, theft and destruction of agricultural equipment: such has been the last 24 hours in Israel.
What your humble servant does not understand is how almost none of this ever gets reported in the international media.
The simple anti-Semitic fact is that a Palestinian-adoring world gives the Palestinians free rein to attack Jews, and just waits for the moment that Israel retaliates so that we Israelis can be accused of a war crime.
Heaven forbid that a Jew–most of all an Israeli Jew–should defend herself or himself.
Here’s a rundown of some of what happened yesterday and today:
A Palestinian terrorist stabbed an IDF soldier during an arrest operation in the Jordan Valley settlement of Tubas. The soldier suffered minor wounds.
A female Palestinian terrorist broke into a home at Havat Sadeh Efraim and attempted to stab those living there. She was overpowered and held until security forces picked her up.
Palestinian terrorists using Molotovs and “rocks” attacked an IDF post near Khursa on Negohot Mountain outside of Hevron.
Palestinian terrorists using Molotovs and “rocks” attacked Israelis between Singil and the Ma’ale Levona Junction, on the Gush Etzion-Jerusalem Road, at the Rechalim Junction, at Yabrud, and at dozen other places.
Palestinian terrorists using Molotovs and “rocks” attacked attacked Israeli buses beside Beit Anun and on Road 60 northeast of Ramallah.
Palestinian terrorists using Molotovs and “rocks” attacked a police car between Hizma and Anatot.
Palestinian terrorists threw 7 Molotovs at the Beit El security fence.
Two Palestinian terrorists were shot by IDF troops on Road 60 near Al-Khader.
Palestinian snipers fired at IDF troops at Kabatim; no Israelis were wounded.
And so it goes on a Monday in Israel.
