It's cherry picking season on the Israeli Golan Heights.

It’s cherry picking season on the Israeli Golan Heights. This photo was taken at a family festival at Ein Zivan this weekend.

Ein Zivan is the self proclaimed fruit picking capital of Israel where one can pick sweet cherries, sour cherries, raspberries, blackberries, gooseberries, Asian pears, nectarines, peaches, apples of all colors, grapes, and figs. At the festival, one could also get fruit smoothies and Druze sweets.

The News on the Israeli Street

Is a new government at hand? . . .

All signs point toward an impending “change” government being formed with Yesh Atid’s Yair Lapid and Yamina’s Naftali Bennett forming the core. The government would include each Netanyahu-hating party: Blue and White, Yisrael Beiteinu, New Hope, Labor, Meretz, and the Joint Arab List. To get over the 61 seat hurdle, it will also include the Islamic Ra’am Party “from the outside.”

Speculation, and at this point it is purely speculation, has the government looking like this:

Naftali Bennett (Yamina) will become Prime Minister for the next two years, followed by Yair Lapid (Yesh Atid) for two years

Benny Gantz (Blue and White): Defense Minister

Ayelet Shaked (Yamina): Interior Minister

Gideon Sa’ar (New Hope): Justice Minister

Avigdor Lieberman (Yisrael Beiteinu): Finance Minister

Yifat Shasha-Biton (New Hope): Education Minister

Merav Michaeli (Labor): Transportation Minister

Nitzan Horowitz (Meretz): Health Minister

Of the above, Bennett, Shaked, Sa’ar, Lieberman, Shasha-Biton are all considered “right wing.”

Fraud concerning Gaza child “victims” . . .

We all know the story far too well. During every war that the Palestinian terrorists in Gaza initiate with Israel, they revel in counting their supposed dead.

To begin with, everyone who dies in Gaza during the war is a martyr whether it is a 42 year old woman who dies because of diabetes or a 95 year old man who dies of heart disease. Everyone is a victim of the “Zionists”.

But more than anything, the leaders of Hamas delight in dead children because they have learned this is the best way to generate positive pr for Hamas and vilify Israel. So the more children that die the better.

The western media has wholeheartedly become an accomplice in the Hamas fraud. In the last week such media rags  as The New York Times and Haaretz here in Israel have reveled in showing photos of dead Gaza children because after all, what better way to sell newspapers than yellow journalism.

But just as with the adults aforementioned, Hamas will beat the bushes to find any dead child they can to include in the photospread.

The cover page of The New York Times is above with the photo collage; underneath is a comment in social media on Rahaf and how she was supposedly killed two weeks ago by the Israeli army.

We say supposedly because Rahaf did not die several weeks ago; she died last year when she accidentally fell from the third floor of her school. Who really knows how any of the other children pictured died?

What we all know, however, is that nothing that one sees or reads about Israel in such left-wing trash as The New York Times and Haaretz can be taken at face value because no journalism is involved–what you see and read is information spoon fed to them by organizations such as Hamas.

TODAY’S BLOG:

War Pays: Hamas Sitting Pretty In Gaza

Hamas head Yahya Sinwar sitting comfortably in a ramshackle part of Gaza.

Why is Yahya Sinwar smiling?

Because the achievements of the recent war with Israel have exceeded all expectations. Not only can Sinwar count military achievements that resulted in 5100 missiles being fired at all parts of Israel, but also his place as Israel’s implacable foe has been restored. No longer can he be challenged from the ultra-conservatives within his own organization.

But even more, the war is proving a financial bonanza.

Against estimated damages caused by Israeli bombing at $325 million dollars, the Hamas balance sheet now boasts the following in “humanitarian donations”:

500 million from Egypt

500 million from Qatar

260 million from the United States

100 million from Kuwait

25 million from Canada

10 million from Japan

1 million from Belgium

—-

Running total: about $1.4 billion

We say running total because almost certainly the European Union, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and who knows who else will also pour in tens of millions of dollars.

So you can do the math, dear reader. With 325 million dollars in reconstruction costs, and 1.4 billion dollars in donations coming in, where do you think the 1+ billion dollars left over is going?

Straight into the Hamas pockets of Sinwar and his terrorist cronies.
