Chaya Zissel Braun: May Your Memory Be Blessed

Chaya Zissel Braun: may she rest in peace.

Chaya Zissel Braun: may she rest in peace.

There is no reason to recount the events surrounding the murder of 3-month-old Chaya Zissel Braun yesterday. How the baby was killed by an Arab terrorist who rammed his car into a group of people at the Ammunition Hill Light Rail train station has been covered in detail by other media outlets.

Chaya was buried at midnight last night in Jerusalem.

And Chaya’s grave:

The inscription reads

The inscription: “The holy baby: Chaya Zissel Braun.”

You may remember, dear reader, that your humble servant predicted yesterday that Chaya’s death would be met with celebrations in Ramallah and Gaza.

And so it has.

In Ramallah, Mahmoud Abbas’ right hand man, so-called Palestinian “Foreign Minister” Riyad al-Malki, has been talking all day about how the murderer is a hero. Another advisor to Abbas, Sultan Abu Alus lavished praise on the terrorist he called “the hero martyr”. In Gaza, Ismail Haniyeh–whose own granddaughter has just been treated in Israel’s Ichilov Hospital for an undisclosed illness–praised the attack and praised the murderer.

Other reactions have been just as pathetic.

A former advisor to PM Netanyahu, Orit Galil-Zucker blamed the parents for living in Jerusalem where “it is dangerous to walk around a three-month-old baby”.
Another form http://www.heritageihc.com/buy5530.html buy cheap cialis of child anxiety is generalized panic attacks which many children are suffering. Herbal sildenafil cipla represents a safer alternative from this point of period, men tend to become stressed and feel overburdened for any type of sensual activity involving physical intimate session. John Kerry’s spokeswoman at the U.S. State Department, Jen Psaki, issued this wonderfully idiotic statement of moral equivalence:  “We express our deepest condolences to the family of the baby, reportedly an American citizen, who was killed in this despicable attack, and extend our prayers for a full recovery to those injured. We urge all sides to maintain calm and avoid escalating tensions in the wake of this incident.”

Israel Police Commissioner Yohanan Danino–who has done nothing to reduce the wave of violence that has enveloped Jerusalem over the last year–declared his support for the security guard who killed the murderer, and added that Israel needs stricter punishment against perpetrators of crimes in Jerusalem including punitive economic measures applied to families of perpetrators.

Israel’s so-called “Justice” Minister, Tzipi Livni blathered: “Jerusalem is burning. My heart is with the family of Chaya who was killed yesterday in an attack, and my head is thinking about what is right to do in order to reduce the burning and prevent escalation.”  She then proceeded to blame Israelis: “We also need to stop the belligerent statements, irresponsible bills, and housing provocations against Muslims in the middle of the night.”

Perhaps the most pathetic statement of all came from PM Netanyahu himself who declared–after months and months of violence in the nation’s capital–that “Jerusalem is under attack. . . Jerusalem is not the only city under attack by terrorists; other cities across the world are, as well. . . Against these acts we face international flaccidity. But there is no such weakness here.” He then proceeded to blame Mahmoud Abbas and Hamas.

But the truth is, as your humble servant has written many times in this blog, that the policies of the government of Benjamin Netanyahu are directly to blame for what has happened in Jerusalem.

These policies, all bent on political correctness and exhibiting extreme flaccidity and weakness, begin with the Temple Mount. By allowing terrorist organizations to take over the Mount and rampage there day after day and by penalizing Jews with ever-increasing restrictions to the Mount because of the fear of Muslim violence, the Netanyahu government has shown the terrorists time and time again that their terrorism brings positive rewards.

But more than this, by doing nothing as the the Jerusalem Light Rail system and Jerusalem buses have been pulverized by terrorist “rock” throwers, and by cowering in the face of internationalists who condemn Israel for every conceivable action, the Netanyahu government has created an environment in which Arab terrorists know that they can terrorize Jerusalem with virtual impunity.

And terrorize Judea and Samaria as well.

So before PM Netanyahu goes down the road of blaming the PLO and Hamas who surely have their share of the blame, he should take a good look in the mirror and see where the fundamental fault lies.
