***More than 30 Palestinian terror attacks have taken place so far today. A few of the worst:
—at 11:50 am, a Palestinian terrorist was captured in downtown Herzliya on his way to an attack. The capture took place after an intense 3-hour manhunt.
—at 8:50 am, a Palestinian terrorist stabbed an Israeli at the Gush Etzion Junction. The 34-year-old man is described as “moderately wounded” with stab wounds in the face and hands. The terrorist was shot and killed.
***Israel has finally wizened up . . .
It was a pleasure today to see the resignation of Makarim Wibisono, the U.N. “Special Rapporteur on the Situation of Human Rights in the Palestinian Territories.” Wibisono assumed the post 18 months ago following the resignation of the abominable Richard Falk. Wibisomo is every bit the anti-Israel bigot that Falk was.
So why did Wibisono resign?
Because Israel refused to allow him into Gaza, Judea, Samaria, and Jerusalem. In his resignation speech, Wibisono declared his “”deep concern at the lack of effective protection of Palestinian victims of continuing human rights violations and violations of international humanitarian law.”
But not a word about Israelis being denied our “human rights.”
As Foreign Ministry spokesman Emmanuel Nahson pointed out: “Israeli human rights are violated every day by Palestinians, and until ignoring this ends, the council (the UN Human Rights Council) will not be taken seriously as a body that respects human rights.”
Three cheers for our Foreign Ministry for displaying some backbone.
***Speaking of three cheers, let’s hear it for the latest crop of 70 lone soldiers who have joined the IDF during this recruiting cycle. They join some 2800 other lone soldiers serving in the IDF.
Perhaps the most unusual of the soldiers is Lea Duxler, a model from Austria.

Duxler had this to say about why she has come to Israel and joined the IDF:
“Anti-Semitism is occurring in many places. Sometimes I was exposed to expressions of anti-Semitism that I felt endangered my life, and sometimes people became cold and distant when they heard about my Jewish identity. Almost every member of my grandfather and grandmother’s family was killed in the Holocaust. My grandfather survived the Holocaust at a weight of 38 kilos.”

We all learned long ago with the publication of the bogus Protocols of the Elders of Zion that the cause of every problem on Earth is world Jewry. Jews deceive, conspire, manipulate, steal, etc., etc., etc. in our endless greedy pursuit of money and power.
So it should come as no surprise at all to discover that it was Israel that was behind Saudi Arabia’s recent beheading of Shi’ite Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr. At least that is what American self-proclaimed “human rights” activist Vanessa Beeley told the Iranian Tasnim media yesterday.
Her rant included a little bit of everything, but can be summarized by this idiotic statement: “Sheikh Nimr campaigned against the Saudi Wahhabi distortion of Islam and engineered division of the Muslim world along sectarian lines that did not exist prior to the Saudi propaganda, inflamed and fueled by the West intent on partitioning the region to best serve Israel’s security and Western economic and resource agendas.”
What an epiphany. Who would have thought that there was no division in the Muslim world between Shi’ite and Sunni before the appearance of Saudi Arabia? Who would have thought that the West is intent on partitioning the Middle East to best serve Israel’s security interests?
And who would have thought that Vanessa Beeley is nothing more than a raging anti-Semite who sees Jews lurking behind every tree and rock?
Well, actually, many of us would have thought that.
If there is one thing that characterizes the members of “progressive human rights” movement”, it is a demonic obsession with Jews. Your humble servant cannot tell you how many times, and in how many forums, he has heard anti-Israel rants devolve into anti-Jewish ones.
The unfortunate truth is that the Protocols of the Elders of Zion is alive and well nowhere more so than in the inner circles of the “progressive human rights” movement.
