UPDATES: 7:00 pm, Israel time

–>Palestinian terror today.

The most serious event of the day has been the attempted stabbing that took place at Anatot (see Today’s Blog).

There has been another shooting incident at Nahal Oz on the Gaza border. This morning, Palestinian snipers opened fire on an IDF patrol jeep. The IDF returned fire, but the terrorists escaped. Fortunately, no Israelis were wounded.

Yet another “work-related accident” in Gaza. The military wing of Hamas announced today that one of its members was killed in a tunnel collapse in Khan Younis.

Numerous “rock” and Molotov attacks have taken place all day long in Judea and Samaria.

–>The joke of the day.

Can you even begin to imagine the unbelievable gall of U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry?

Today he was in Saudi Arabia to speak to the Gulf Cooperation Council in order to address the Obama Administration’s “warming relations” with Iran. Afterwards, he blathered this:

“Let me assure everybody that the relationship between the United States and the GCC nations is one that is built on mutual interest, on mutual defense, and I think there is no doubt whatsoever in the minds of the countries that make up the GCC that the United States will stand with them against any external threat.”

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

Really, Kerry should be a comedian. Does he, or do you, really think that there is even one member of the GCC who believes that Barack Obama would defend it against his friend Iran?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

–>The fallout from the Hebron eviction continues.

A day after declaring that Beit Yehudi (Naftali Bennett’s party) should not be in the government because of its criticism of him, so-called “Defense Minister” Moshe Ya’alon came under fire from members of his own Likud party.

In fact, a large contingent of Likud members showed up in Hebron yesterday to show their solidarity with the Jewish community there.

TODAY’S BLOG:

Anatot was the scene of yet another terrorist attack this morning. At the same location that has seen numerous deadly stabbings and bulldozer attacks against Israelis, the following took place.

Just before 8:00 am, a female terrorist armed with a knife arrived at the entrance gate to Anatot. The security guard called to her to show her identification. Instead she pulled out a knife and charged at the guard.

The guard initially dodged the attack, but then the terrorist continued the attack–at which point the guard was forced to shoot the terrorist in self defense. She died shortly thereafter.

The dead terrorist.

The dead terrorist. An Israeli Border Guard (not the security guard of Anatot) stands nearby,

It turns out that the family of the girl had only recently moved to Anata (the Palestinian counterpart of Anatot) from Yatta near Hebron. You might recall that Yatta has been a hotbed of Palestinian terror; most recently it was the Palestinian settlement to which the 15-year-old butcherer of Daphna Meir fled.

In this particular incident, the girl informed her family what she planned to do, then left her family’s home with the knife. Her father, who was arrested in recent hours, claims that he tried to stop her.

It turns out that the terrorist, Rakia Eid Abu Eid, was 13 years old.

Which led to the New York Times publishing the following article: an inflammatory headline, followed by a somewhat accurate paragraph about what happened:

Note the outrageous headline that leaves out the "small detail" that the girl was trying to kill the security guard.

As we close this blog today, try to imagine the surreal world of Israelis in which 15 year old Palestinian terrorists slaughter Israelis by stabbing knives in their heads, and 13 year old terrorists try to stab security guards and people on the street.

How would you feel if you were walking down a street and saw a young Palestinian approaching you?
