The two “holy martyrs”–Baha’a Abu Alta and Qasem Soleimani–who “sacrificed their lives fighting for Jerusalem” (note the Kipa HaSela between the two).
Not holy. Not martyrs. No sacrifice. Not fighting for Jerusalem: just two bloodthirsty terrorists trying to kill Jews and wipe Israel off the map.
The News on the Israeli Street
Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .
On the Gaza Border:
An armed Palestinian terrorist crossed the northern section of the border fence and was captured by IDF soldiers.
Another Palestinian terrorist apparently penetrated the security fence at Nahal Oz and was apprehended; a missile alarm at Nahal Oz in the early evening was likely the result machine gun fire from the Shujayiah neighborhood in Gaza.
Not a good time for Iranian commanders . . .
In case you missed the news, another Iranian commander was assassinated yesterday.
This time it was Al-Hashad Al-Sha’abi, who was the commander of the Karbala Brigade of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards. As you may not know, Sha’abi was the “glue” uniting the various Iranian proxy “militias” in Iraq.
Immediately afterward, Iranian sources reported that the assassination was fake news; however, these photos appeared on the internet within hours:

Soleimani Is Waiting For You!
As we all know by now, billboards, signs, and placards extolling Qasem Soleimani have sprung up all over the Arab world.
For your humble servant’s money, the funniest one had to be on the Lebanese border this morning. It came in response to this one that was put up by Hezbollah terrorists yesterday facing Israel:
A sullen Soleimani glaring toward Jerusalem.
The sign roughly reads in Arabic and Hebrew: “The fear and terror that Soleimani struck in Israel continues.”
This morning this sign was put up in response:
Soleimani glaring toward Lebanon.
Note the pig’s nose on Soleimani. Written in Arabic are these words addressed to the leader of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah (roughly translated):
“There is no fear and no terror Nasrallah. Soleimani is waiting for you! We will track you down.”
Indeed we will. The sooner the better.
A student from Malawi, who had worked with an Israeli health volunteer in his country battling AIDS, came up to us as we walked down the street in the UC-Davis Picnic Day Parade and wanted to carry the Israeli flag.
