Stop: Do Not Deliver “Goods” When There Is Terror!
Members of the “If You Will” organization and Im Tirzu were at the Kerem Shalom Crossing early this morning blocking trucks carrying “goods” to Hamas in Gaza.
Our moronic government seems to have the policy that the more explosive balloons that detonate–setting southern Israel on fire–and the more violent attacks against our soldiers that occur along the border fence—the more “goods” we will ship into Gaza.
Unbelievable.

An update on the condition of Staff Sgt. Bar-El Shmueli . . .
There is no update on his physical condition. He remains anesthetically sedated in extremely critical condition following his extensive brain surgery 4 days ago.
After 4 days in the hospital’s ICU praying for their son, Bar-El’s family was finally visited by IDF Chief of Staff Aviv Kochavi and Southern Command General Eliezer Toledano.
The visits did not go well.
Toledano told the family that he “took responsibility” for what happened. Bar-El’s mother angrily told him: “The terrorists should never have been able to reach Bar-El; they should have been stopped long before. Take off your uniform!”
After which, Toledano told her: “I’m in a hurry and have to go.”
She replied: “Get out!”
Heaven help us . . .
If nothing else, the shooting of Staff Sgt. Bar-El Shmueli has laid bare the absolute incompetence of PM Bennett and those in charge of the Southern Command of the IDF.
We have already reported that Bennett called the family on the phone 2 days after the incident and didn’t even know Bar-El’s name. More than that, he didn’t know what hospital he was in or even what condition he was in (he asked his father “How is your son feeling?”).
Yesterday came the results of an IDF investigation by Southern Command officers into the shooting.
The findings?
The shooting was “an operational weakness.” More than this, the Command also determined that officers in the field did not understand the potential risk of “zero-range fire, explosive devices, snipers and grenades.”
Incredible. After decades of zero-range fire, explosive devices, snipers, and grenades against our soldiers stationed along the border, the IDF now realizes there is a danger of zero-range fire, explosive devices, snipers, and grenades?
Oh yes, the investigation also found that a window being placed in the security wall where terrorists could reach it was an “engineering failure.”
Heaven save us from such blatant incompetence.

A portion of so-called “Defense Minister” Benny Gantz’s infamous “anemones speech” which he gave almost exactly 7 years ago in August of 2014:
“We have a hot summer. Fall will soon come. The rain will wash away the dust left by the tanks. The fields will turn green, and the south will be awash in red – in the positive sense of the word – in anemones, flowers, and stability, which will be here for many years to come.”
This speech was disastrous because some of those who heeded his call to return to their homes were killed in subsequent mortar and missile strikes. Not only that but the speech is notable for its delusion that a “stability” would reign over the south “for many years to come.”
And to think that Gantz is now our “Minister of Defense”.
Your humble servant could not help but think of Gantz’s delusionally disastrous speech when listening to PM Bennett’s remarks as he left Ben Gurion Airport for Washington yesterday:
“Good afternoon everyone:
I am now going to Washington to meet the President of the United States, Joe Biden, an old friend and true friend of the State of Israel . . . We will deal with many fronts, most notably the Iranian front, and especially the leap forward in the last two or three years in the Iranian nuclear program . . . we will also deal with the areas of economics, high-tech, innovation, the climate crisis that is bothering us all, and of course – the struggle against Corona. It seems to me that when I get on the plane, I leave Israel behind with buds of hope of stabilizing in the fight against Corona . . .”
Yes, an old and true friend who refuses to recognize Israeli sovereignty over the Golan, refuses to recognize the legality of Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria, is determined to establish a Palestinian state, and is determined to renew a terribly flawed nuclear appeasement plan with Iran.
Yes, they will deal with many fronts on which Biden could care less what Bennett has to say.
