Making Lies Sound Truthful And Murder Respectable: The Slimy Deception of J Street

TODAY’S BLOG

“Political language is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind.”  George Orwell

If there ever was a slimy organization that gave life to Orwell’s words, it is J Street. Describing itself with the blatantly Orwellian “The political home for pro-Israel, pro-peace Americans”, J Street has a mission that has nothing to do with being “pro-Israel” or “pro-peace”–and everything to do with being “pro-Palestinian” and “anti-peace”.

Even the most cursory look at J Street’s pronouncements issued in the last few months reveals an Orwellian use of language rarely seen outside the realm of Palestinian propaganda.

Take J Street’s most recent pronouncement:

J Street Hails Efforts by 44 Members of Congress To Protect Israel Through Continued US Assistance to Palestinian Authority (November 8)

How can anyone read this with a straight face? Maybe J Street should have a new mantra: “Protecting Israel By Building Homes for Terrorist Murderers” (after all, Mahmoud Abbas announced last week that U.S. “assistance” money will be used to build homes for those “heroes” released in the Gilad Shalit deal). What is “pro-Israel” about funding the thugs in Ramallah? What is “pro-peace”?

Let’s look at another recent pronouncement:

J Street Calls on Congress to Maintain American Contributions to UNESCO, Other UN Institutions (October 31)

With accompanying text: “Failure to avert American defunding and disengagement from UNESCO . . . would deal a painful blow to U.S. influence and standing in the world.”

How is it “pro-Israel” to continue funding an organization that has spent more than 30 years delegitimizing Israel? How is it “pro-peace” to support an organization that almost certainly will soon be setting up an office in “East” Jerusalem (according to the Palestinians) “to stop Israeli desecration of Muslim and Christian holy sites”?  And why would taking a principled stand against UNESCO hurt U.S. influence around the world–only an organization that has no principles itself could come up with such a preposterous statement.
The cheap Kamagra has become the sildenafil tablets first preference of the patients. Lovegra can only be used cialis 100mg by women. Well there are various driving schools and getting the quick response of the medicine, you need to store tadalafil purchase it in cool place and not near heat and moisture.

We could go on and on and on:

J Street: House Bill to Defund UN Will Hurt United States and Israel, October 13 (which is a defense of one of the most despicable and anti-Israel of all United Nations Agencies–UNRWA).

J Street Condemns Settler Violence, Decries Toll on ‘Israel’s Jewish and Democratic Character’ October 6 (which contains 2  slanderous claims concerning the alleged violence of Jewish community members)

J Street Gravely Concerned about Israeli Plans to Expand Housing in Gilo, September 27

Pro-Israel, Pro-Peace Leaders Lobby for New Congressional Letter Urging Continued Palestinian Aid, September 14

J Street Condemns Knesset Passage of Boycott Bill, July 12

With accompanying text: “J Street condemns the Knesset’s passage yesterday of a law making the call for boycotts of Israel or the West Bank settlements illegal, as a clear and unabashed violation of the fundamental democratic precept of freedom of speech.”

Making lies sound truthful and murder respectable, J Street is nothing more than a Palestinian front organization that uses Orwellian deception in an attempt to manipulate public opinion.

NAUSEATING COMMENTS OF THE DAY

In the spirit of the J Street missive of July 12 above, the Anti-Defamation League sent a sickening letter to PM Netanyahu yesterday which begins: “While there are valid concerns about foreign government support for non-governmental organizations that some believe take policies at odds with Israel’s national security concerns, we are concerned the passage of these bills could negatively impact Israel’s vibrant society and democratic traditions.” It then concludes by urging him to modify the NGO funding bill in order to “protect the precious freedom of expression, which is so deeply rooted in Israel’s cherished democratic tradition.”

Your humble servant asks you dear reader which is more important: Israel’s right to exist, or the so-called free speech of foreign governments and other organizations pouring hundreds of millions of dollars into Israel to delegitimize it throughout the world and to destroy it from within? You make the call.
