Palestinian terrorism yesterday:
“Rock” and Molotov attacks took place from Marah Rabah to Gilazon and all places in between such as Adora, Mt. Hevron, El Khader, Qalqilya, Migdalot, the Tapuach Junction, Ras Al-Amud, Psagot, the Gush Etzion T-Junction, Giti Avisar, Kiryat Netafim, Ofra, and Luban a-Sharqiya.
All told, there were more than 30 attacks by Palestinian terrorists yesterday whose express purpose was kill Israeli men, women, and children.
Each of these attacks was a hate crime of the most egregious kind.

The proposed “Nationalism Law” reaches the Knesset:
Following approval by a minister committee, the new Nationalism Law has reached the Knesset for the first of three readings. The Law would:
*change Arabic from an “official” language of Israel to a “special” language
*declare that Israel is the “national home of the Jewish people”
*declare that “the right to realize self-determination in the State of Israel is unique to the Jewish people”
As you may imagine, Israeli leftists are howling in protest along with their colleagues the Palestinians. After all, if Israel is the national home of the Jewish people, then how can 5,000,000 UNRWA-proclaimed Palestinian “refugees” ever live in Israel?

The Hilarious Barghouti Hunger Strike
By now, readers of this blog know that mass-murderer Marwan Barghouti, who is serving multiple life sentences in Israeli prison, started a hunger strike in April. The purpose of the strike was ostensibly to garner more benefits for the already benefit-laden Palestinian terrorists in Israeli prisons. Behind the scenes, the strike is meant to undermine PLO Chairman Mahmoud Abbas–who Barghouti wants to challenge for leadership (even from prison) of the PLO.
In any case, Barghouti was quickly joined in his hilarious strike by some 700 more prisoners and the number eventually swelled to around 1500. Barghouti’s actions were quickly supported by Palestinian-ophiles everywhere. For example, the city of Dublin, Ireland even raised the Palestinian flag this week in support of Barghouti.
In recent weeks, however, the strike has fallen on increasingly hard times with the number of strikers steadily declining to a point at which it is now under 1000. This past week the strike became the subject of ridicule even among many Palestinians when pictures emerged of Barghouti sneaking and eating candy bars in the toilet area of his cell. These pictures were broadcast all over Israel and Barghouti became an even bigger laughing stock than he already was.

The story became even funnier a couple of days ago when an Israeli advertising agency used the picture to create this ad for Pizza Hut:
The red bar reads: “Barghouti, since you have already broken your fast, why not eat pizza?” At the bottom beside the Pizza Hut logo, “Taklis, for easy ordering go to this link.”
Pretty funny–especially the Pizza Hut mat under the bed and the slice of pizza in the sink.
However, the saga continued today.
The parent of Israel Pizza Hut, Pizza Hut International, apologized to “offended Palestinians” everywhere and announced that it had ordered the ad withdrawn.
It seems that nobody has a sense of humor anymore.
A student from Malawi, who had worked with an Israeli health volunteer in his country battling AIDS, came up to us as we walked down the street in the UC-Davis Picnic Day Parade and wanted to carry the Israeli flag.
