Happy Thanksgiving!
For those of you who celebrate the holiday, OneIsrael wishes you a wonderful day with family and friends and lots of great food!
Revolting Photo of the Morning:
This slightly blurry photo is a screen shot from Jordanian television yesterday. What you are looking at is how completely Israel has given up sovereignty over the Temple Mount.
What you see are Jordanian “fire and rescue” personnel carrying out a practice exercise beside the Kipat HaSela (Dome of the Rock) which houses the holiest place in Judaism.
Whether we are talking about Jordanian Wakf policemen on the Mount, or Jordanian fire and rescue personnel on the Mount, or Jordanians building a new mosque on the Mount, or Jordanians establishing new administrative councils for the Mount, the point is that the Jordanians have taken de facto control of our Temple Mount.
And no one in our pusillanimous government does anything to stop it.
The News on the Israeli Street
Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .
In Judea and Samaria:
Palestinian terrorists using Molotovs and “rocks” attacked Israeli men, women, and children on the Tunnel Road leading into south Jerusalem, at Beit Anun near Hevron, at Turmosayya, beside the Al-Khader Junction in Gush Etzion, at the Maccabim Crossing, near the Yitzhar Junction, at the entrance to Ramallah, just to name 7 out of some 25 locations.
On the Gaza border:
Always ready for a handout, infantile Palestinians lined up yesterday for the monthly Qatari blackmail money. By this afternoon, they will be throwing grenades, Molotovs, and anything else they can find at our soldiers:
Once inside:
About those terrorist bodies . . .
Israel Defense Minister announced yesterday that he is implementing a new policy–the bodies of dead terrorists will not be returned to the PLO or Hamas until Israeli bodies (or body parts) are released by Hamas.
One would think that this would be the most obvious of policies, but whether it will be implemented or not depends on a Cabinet vote. This vote is by no means a foregone conclusion because guess who is opposed?
The General Command of the IDF.
Yes, you read that correctly.
The IDF is worried that turning over the bodies of dead terrorists will injure our contacts with the PLO and Hamas.
Can you believe this?
Or how about this statement from the PLO this morning:
Upon close examination of certain pills on the viagra samples cheap market, what you see isn’t necessarily what you are trying to achieve. “Bennett’s statement expressed hatred and extremism, aimed at revenge on the families of terrorists. The world needs to take a real and clear stance against this (Israel) entity, which proves day after day that it is a terrorist body operating against Palestine, its land and its people, while the alleged international attempt to silence and paralyze its blatant violations.”
What unbelievable crap . . . even for Palestinians.
How the left distorts the truth . . .
This short article appeared in the ultra left-wing Haaretz newspaper this morning. See if you can spot the main falsehood:
“In recent weeks, work has begun to expand the settlement “Nof Zion” within the Jabal Mukaber neighborhood of East Jerusalem. This, after two years ago, the Jerusalem Planning and Building Commission approved the construction of 176 new apartments.”
The main falsehood is that Nof Zion is not a settlement. It is a neighborhood.
What is more using “East Jerusalem” suggests that the city should be divided into East and West. What should be written is “eastern Jerusalem.”
TODAY’S BLOG:
Absolute Utter Shame!
As we reported in yesterday’s blog, there was a missile barrage on the Sderot area around 8:45 pm two nights ago. What we didn’t report was that a little more than three hours later, just after midnight, incoming missile sirens were sounded for Ashkelon.
These missile sirens sent tens of thousands of people running for their bomb shelters and fortified places.
One family that had no bomb shelter and instead had to run to the stairwell in their apartment building (otherwise known as a “fortified place”) was the Spilman-Drayer family. Reut Spilman-Drayer took the following video on her cellphone when she tried to get her trembling children to leave the stairway and return to the apartment.
That video has gone viral and is eloquently perverse testimony to the utter lack of courage on the part of our government.
The mother and her children are speaking Hebrew, but what you need to know is that the little girl keeps saying that she doesn’t want to go back into the apartment because “they are trying to kill us.”
Click here to watch the video.
Reut posted these words along with the video:
“Hi, to all of you living up there [in north and central Israel]. Can you hear? Down here in the south, we’re living in an impossible situation! What country in the world would let people shoot at its citizens??? What country??
Bibi, despite all of your accomplishments, there are still citizens living in fear each and every day! You’ve done nothing! You might as well go home! You’ve been in power for 10 years! Come on! There’s no one else to blame!”
Truth if ever spoken.
Not surprisingly, not one single government official, least of all Netanyahu and Bennett, have responded to the video.
Wasn’t one reason modern Israel was created was to provide shelter for persecuted Jews?
This government and all those that came before that allowed Palestinian terrorists in Gaza to continue shooting at our people should feel nothing but shame.
Absolute utter shame!
