The News on the Israeli Street

The daily Corona update . . .

8 am Wednesday:

21,512 confirmed casesan increase in 430 since this time yesterday

15,869 recoveredan increase of 101

40 in serious conditiona decrease of 4

27 on ventilatorsa decrease of 2

308 have diedan increase of 1

The sharp increase in confirmed cases is troubling, but it remains surprising that there has not been a sharp increase in “serious” cases, ventilator cases, or deaths.

There have been outbreaks of Corona at various places in the country including Bat Yam, here in Ashdod, and in Bnei Brak.

Hadassah Hospital became the first place in the world yesterday where Corona patients are being given IgG. This is a plasma refined and processed from recovering patients by the Kamada Company at Kibbutz Beit Kama in the Negev.

On the northern border . . .

A terrorist crossed the border from Lebanon last night and penetrated the Zarit community. He was captured.

On the Syrian front . . .

Israel carried out major attacks during the night hitting targets in northern and southern Syria. Most of the air assaults were between Deir Azor and Tadmor along a major arms convoy route.  Apparently more than a dozen were killed including Afghani and Pakistani proxy fighters for Iran and member of the Syrian regime.

On the sovereignty/annexation front . . .

What did Gantz say? Apparently, “Defense” Minister Benny Gantz stated  yesterday that he was “OK” with Israel proceeding with a “unilateral” declaration of sovereignty. Where and when he said this seems to be a mystery, but he was excoriated by the “Left” for having done so and branded a “traitor.”

Meanwhile, more than a thousand “senior military officer and and combat soldiers” of the IDF published a letter that they wrote yesterday to President Trump thanking him for his visionary leadership–and supporting a declaration of Israeli sovereignty over parts of Area C of Judea and Samaria.

To be continued today as events warrant . . .
