The IDF has yet to release information concerning his death; all information here comes from the Kiryat Yam Fbook page. Ido was a beloved member of the Kiryat Yam community where he was an instructor at the Surfing and Marine Sports Center. This photo of Aviv was posted by the surfing community of Kiryat Yam today:

         OneIsrael’s Campaign For Our Soldiers

IDF soldiers on the ground need basic protective gear, armaments, and supplies.

Even during the recent Iranian attacks soldiers were forced to lie in open trenches to protect themselves from incoming missiles and drones as they have been doing for months on the Gaza and northern borders.

OneIsrael is now engaged in a campaign to help protect our soldiers. This campaign will extend through Passover and to Shavuot.

Please consider donating to our campaign by clicking on the donate button in the right hand column on this page. All donations go directly to our soldiers.

Thank you to those of you who have already contributed to the protection of our brave men and women in uniform!

On the Hostage Front

It suddenly seems more likely that a hostage deal is near. Perhaps because preparations for an operation in Rafah are ready, HamISIS appears more ready to accept the Egyptian proposal on the table–a proposal that the Israeli public has not been told the details of.

The bottom line is that the release of the hostages has now taken clear precedence over eliminating HamISIS.

UPDATE 3:00 PM

On the Ground in Gaza

The IDF continues attacking in Rafah. At least 20 terrorists were killed last night and today in three separate attacks: 3 were eliminated in the Al-Janina neighborhood of east Rafah; 7 were eliminated in the Shaburah neighborhood; 10 were killed in central Rafah.

*Palestinian terrorists fired more missiles out of northern Gaza into an Israeli border community–this time at Kibbutz Alumim. No Israelis were wounded.

*HamISIS claimed it fired heavy caliber mortar shells towards IDF forces at the Natzarim corridor where our forces are now sitting ducks following the withdrawal of soldiers on both sides of the corridor.

*There are unconfirmed reports of “an event involving many IDF casualties”–the reports are unconfirmed because the Israeli censor has banned reportage about it.

On the Ground in the North

*Hezbollah has fired dozens of missiles into northern Israel.

* Lebanese HamISIS “claims responsibility” for firing more than 20 missiles at Kiryat Shmona.
