Special Notice:

Today’s blog is necessarily abbreviated. Your humble servant is spending the day in Sderot–showing solidarity with the brave citizens there. There will be more about my trip in Sunday’s blog.

Finally . . . a crowd funding site has raised 400,000 shekels to put large billboards across Israel supporting the legal reform.

Finally . . . a crowd funding site has raised 400,000 shekels to put large billboards across Israel supporting the legal reform.

This sign featuring Simcha Rothman (left) and Yariv Levin (right) calls on all to support the government. It reads: “The people are with you; 2,304,964 voted for legal reform.”

The News on the Israeli Street

As we predicted yesterday . . .

Knesset member Limor Son Har-Melech has filed a complaint to the National Police concerning the way she was illegally treated at Shilo. Not only does the complaint point out that the police violated her parliamentary immunity, but also they sexually harrassed her.

Anyone who has seen the video of the incident will see that Har-Melech’s complaint should be responded to forthwith by the termination of employment of the policemen involved.

Ben Gvir’s special operation in eastern Jerusalem . . .

In the first 4 days of police proactively going into Arab neighborhoods such as Shuafat and Qalandiya:

5 weapons were seized

34 stolen vehicles were recovered

17 illegal houses were destroyed

300,000 shekels of terrorist funds were confiscated

“goods” worth millions of shekels were seized

During these operations, police set up 199 roadblocks and checked 11,210 residents and 5,999 vehicles.

What do you call all of the above?

A good start.

Humming along . . .

According to statistics released yesterday, the Israel economy grew 5.8% in the last quarter and 6.5% for all of 2022.

Private consumption spending leaped by 10% during the last quarter.

We wish you a big:

SHABBAT SHALOM!
