The Photo of the Day

Outside the European Parliament yesterday.

The traveling circus of Israeli village idiots was at it again outside the European Parliament in Strasbourg yesterday.

The decision to demonstrate against the Israeli government just as the Parliament was discussing the outburst of anti-Semitism in Europe was particularly noisome.

Your humble servant wonders whether some anti-government Israeli tour operator is now offering discount travel to leftists to travel to places where Israeli leaders are speaking or anything Jewish is taking place.

The News on the Israeli Street

The war in Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria.

A knife wielding Palestinian terrorist charged Border Police officers at the Shuafat Crossing into Jerusalem this morning. He was disarmed without firing a shot:

IED, Molotov, and “rock” attacks:

Palestinian terrorists attacked at Beit Omer, on Road 5 between the Gitti Avishar Junction and Ariel, at Nabi Salah, near Gisha in Shomron, and at a dozen other locations.

Israel on the medical cutting edge . . .

Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem and the P-Cure company inaugurated a new “proton irradiation” center last night for the treatment of cancer patients.

The experimental treatment has already been used successfully on patients for whom there was no hope of recovery.

Clowns of a feather issue statements together . . .

U.S. Secretary of State Blinkin and United Nations Secretary General Guterres just happened to release statements condemning Israel at the same time yesterday.

Clown 1, aka Blinken, excoriated Israel for “Jewish” violence in Judea and Samaria and laughably suggested that as long as such violence continues, the prospects of normalization with Saudi Arabia are slim.

Hahahahahahahahahahaha!

The fact is that there is no chance for normalization with Saudi Arabia, and oh by the way, what about hourly Palestinian terror in Judea and Samaria?

Clown 2, aka Guterres, excoriated Israel’s approval of new construction in Judea and Samaria, retroactive legalization of three outposts adjacent to Eli, and all “settlement activities” which he said are “a flagrant violation of international law and relevant United Nations resolutions” and “impede the creation of a Palestinian state based on the pre-1967 lines.”

Hahahahahahahahahahaha!

By the way, did you get that the most anti-Semitic organization planet wants Israel to return to the 1948-9 Armistice lines?

TODAY’S BLOG

One “Bombshell” After Another

Following the bombshells from the Court this past week that there is not enough evidence to convict PM Netanyahu of bribery in Case 4000 nor enough evidence to convict him in Case 1000, came the newest bombshell yesterday from the former head of the Israel Police, Roni Alsheikh.

Alsheikh was in office from 2015 until 2018. He has been implicated in the Pegasus wiretapping scandal which apparently involved wiretapping the phones of civilians and public officials–especially those around PM Netanyahu–without a warrant.

Yesterday, Alsheikh dropped this bombshell: “We expected him to resign from his position when an indictment was filed, that the party would tell him that it was for the good of the country that he resign and someone else come into power.”

Say what?

Who is “we”? Who is the cabal that thought they could force Netanyahu’s resignation with an indictment?

Alsheikh didn’t say, but in addition to himself he may have been referring to former Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit (in office 2016-2022), the head of the Lahav 433 police investigations unit, the state prosecutor’s office, and others.

The obvious inference is that the cabal, whoever they are/were have been trying to engineer a coup that would remove Netanyahu.

Hilariously, the current Attorney General rushed to the podium and ludicrously gushed yesterday that Alsheikh did not have anything to do with the decision to file indictments against Netanyahu.

What horse manure.

Alsheikh had everything to do with the eventual filing of indictments after he left office because as head of the police he was in charge of gathering (or possibly fabricating) evidence that started the ball rolling.

Your humble servant is no friend of Yisrael Beiteinu head Avigdor Liberman, one of the most vehement leaders of the Opposition– but even he was shocked by Alsheikh’s revelation:

“I never believed in conspiracies, but in the last few days I changed my mind, when I hear Ehud Barak, Yair Golan and Roni Alsheikh, I believe they mobilized against Netanyahu.

. . . the [statements] of the former police commissioner, Roni Alsheikh, are outrageous, stupid and irresponsible. First and foremost, they harm the Israeli justice system . . .  It’s impossible in a democratic country for things like this to happen.”

Of course there has been an undemocratic conspiracy to remove Netanyahu. Some of us–including you, dear reader–have known it all along.
