May His Memory Be For A Blessing

Shilo

1st Sgt. Shilo Yosef Amir 2001-2023 of the Givati Recon force, murdered by a terrorist yesterday while protecting the Samarian Jewish community of Kedumim.

Shilo was murdered yesterday when he and his fellow soldiers stopped a suspicious vehicle that was circling Kedumim. A terrorist in the vehicle opened fire killing Shilo instantly.

The terrorist fled on foot, but was quickly tracked down by Shilo’s fellow soldiers and killed.

After Shilo’s murder was reported, Palestinians throughout Areas A and B (and especially in Jenin) rushed into the street to hand out sweets.

It seems that hardly a day passes here in Israel that another young “light” of Israel is not murdered by a Palestinian terrorist.

It was just three days ago that Sgt. David Yehuda Yitzhak was killed in Jenin. Like Shilo, he served as a sergeant in an elite unit and was a resident of a Jewish community in Samaria. Shilo was buried beside David in the military section of the Mt. Herzl cemetery this morning:

The war in Judea and Samaria.

Shooting attacks:

Palestinian terrorists in a car opened fired on a store near Har Bracha. A woman was wounded; the terrorists escaped.

Palestinian terrorists opened fire on IDF soldiers in Shechem this morning. Two terrorists were killed.

“Rock”, Molotov, and IED attacks:

Palestinian terrorists attacked Israelis on Road 55 between Azzun and Nabi Elias, on Road 60 near Luban al-Sharqiya, in the Gorat al-Shema area between the T-Junction in Gush Etzion and Efrat, on Road 55 beside Kedomim, on the Gush Etzion-Hevron Road hear the East Halhol Junction (Israeli wounded), between the Ma’ayan curve and the Karmi Tzur Junction, near the large Yakir Junction, at the Post Junction in the Binyamin area, and at many other locations.

More police absurdity . . .

"Protesters" outside of Justice Minister Yariv Levin's house last night.

“Protesters” outside of Justice Minister Yariv Levin’s house last night.

The police proudly announced last night that they had “completed changes to the traffic arrangement” around Levin’s house in order to “secure the protest participants.”

Can you believe this? Of course you can.

The leftist police administrators could care less about protecting those being besieged by the anarchists. Their entire concern is for the anarchists.

Levin in particular has been the target of verbal violence wherever he goes whether it be to a restaurant where an anarchist was filmed two days ago standing over Levin and his wife’s table and repeatedly screaming “Shame” into a bullhorn. You may also remember that the anarchists even showed up to the shiva of Levin’s father a few months ago and screamed obscenities outside the house.

What is amazing is how Israel’s abominable Attorney General protects political officials on the “left” such as former Attorney General Mandelblit from crowd blasting–but refuses to protect current government officials.

Don’t shop at Carrefour! . . .

The French food chain Carrefour arrived in Israel to much fanfare last month.

Carrefour was immediately hailed as a store that would help bring down high food prices in supermarkets around the country. Of course, that turned out to be nonsense as your humble servant can attest to having shopped in the store in its grand opening.

I will never shop there again.

Why?

Carrefour issued this statement yesterday: “Carrefour will not open stores in the territories of Judea and Samaria because we are obliged to avoid complicity in crime.”

Since the morally bankrupt Carrefour management believes that the brave Jewish community members in Judea and Samaria are criminals, we should all boycott Carrefour immediately.

On this note, we wish you Shabbat Shalom.
