Yom Shabbat

As is customary here at OneIsrael, we do not publish a blog on Shabbat unless circumstances warrant. Instead, we offer a few photos for your consideration.
Photo 1:
Part of the first page of a petition submitted to the Israel Prison Service yesterday demanding that falsely imprisoned (the prosecution admitted at trial that his confession was gained through torture) Amiram Ben Oliel be moved out of solitary confinement where he has been held for six years to the “Torah Wing” of the prison he is in. No other prisoner in Israel is held in conditions like Ben Oliel. At the top of the signing page are the names of wives of former prisoners of Zion: Rivka Pollard and Avital Sharansky.
Photo 2:
Look closely at this recent photo of Muslims praying in a Tel Aviv park on a Muslim holiday. Note the partition in the middle separating men and women. Yesterday, Jewish orthodox leaders were told that partitions between women and men will be prohibited in Tel Aviv venues during the upcoming holidays.
Photo 3:
On the smoky Gaza border yesterday where terrorists attacked the security fence with IEDs, burned tires producing toxic smoke, and launched explosive balloons into southern Israel.
Photo 4:
Looking for an interesting weekend activity? How about rappelling down into “The Great Juba Hole”? Located in the Odem Forest near the Druze village of Masadeh in northern Israel, the hole is 250 meters wide and 60 meters deep.
Photo 5:
If rappelling is not your thing, then why not escape the searing heat underground in the cool (in more ways than one) Stalactite Caves at Soreq? 5000 meters of beauty await you! (photo from Israel21c, Jessica Halfin).
With that photo and those suggestions, we wish you a:
Shabbat Shalom!
