The News on the Israeli Street

The war in Judea, Samaria, and on the Gaza Border.

More toxic fires were set on the Gaza border yesterday--wind pattern blew the smoke into southern Israel.

More toxic fires were set on the Gaza border yesterday–wind patterns blew the carcinogenic smoke into southern Israel.

Remember the explosion that killed 5 terrorists on the Gaza border 3 days ago as they failed to run away in time from an IED before it blew up on the security fence. Hamas announced this morning that a 6th terrorist has now died from that explosion.

According to a senior security official, Palestinian terrorists have caused “serious damage to the defense infrastructure along the border in recent days.”

Dozens of Palestinians attacked the owner of the farm between Yakir and Yair’s Farm as he was tending his crops. He was badly wounded in the leg.

Stabbing attempt:

A Palestinian terrorist tried to stab Israeli security forces at the Mazmoriya Checkpoint near Har Homa outside of Jerusalem. No Israelis were wounded; the terrorist was shot:

Shooting attack:

IED, Molotov, “rock” attacks:

Palestinians terrorists tried to kill Israelis at the Malachi Hashalom Junction on Road 458, at Beit El, at the Pharmacy Barrier near the Cave of the Patriarchs, near Beit Romano in Hevron, in the vicinity of Kfar Malek, between Deir Davan and Sde Yonatan Farm, the Hosan Bypass, between Kiryat Arba and Hevron, Beit Hadassah in Hevron, on the outskirts of Kozra, north of Ofra, and near Ali and Ma’ayan Hakorat among other places.

PM Netanyahu Tells It Like It Is: The New “Norm”

The Netanyahus boarding the El Al plane for the flight to the U.S. last night.

PM Netanyahu flew to the U.S. last night. First he is going to the San Francisco/Silicon Valley area to meet with Elon Musk and then it is on to New York to speak at the U.N. General Assembly on Friday.

Conspicuously missing from his 6-day itinerary is the White House. Presumably before or after his U.N. speech, he will meet with U.S. President Biden “on the sidelines” at the U.N.

All along the way, he will be besieged by Israeli protesters who follow him wherever he goes. They will carry sickening signs comparing him to Hitler and cursing him as “Crime Minister.” Those protesters will be joined by numerous other groups condemning Netanyahu and Israel including pro-PLO Palestinian groups, pro-Iranian groups, and groups of every conceivable ethnicity.

All in all, it will be a nauseating scene.

Before leaving Ben Gurion Airport last night, in a refreshing display of candor, Netanyahu blasted the Israeli protesters:

“Nothing surprises me. The organizers of this protest are equipped with a lot of money. These are sponsored and organized demonstrations that cross all boundaries. They led to the fact that blocking roads became a normal thing, that violent harassment of public figures is an apparently normal thing, that refusal to serve is a normal thing. Therefore, when they go and slander Israel before the other nations, it also seems normal to them. It’s not normal to me, when I was the head of the opposition, I never did such a thing.”

How true on all counts. Blocking roads, violent harassment of public figures, refusal to serve in the IDF, slandering Israel when in other countries: all of these have become the norm created by the anti-government movement and its friends in the mainstream media here.

It has been appalling to watch Israel sink into the abyss.

Netanyahu continued:

“This is the 12th time, I believe, that I am going to appear at the United Nations as Prime Minister. There have always been demonstrations in favor of Israel and against Israel. But this time we are seeing demonstrations against Israel by Israelis joining up with the PLO, Iran and others. Nothing is surprising anymore, but that will not prevent me from representing Israel proudly and in the best way I can for all its citizens.”

Again, correct on all counts. Israelis linking hands with terror groups is no longer surprising. It is the new norm.
