The Gaza War: Day 54 . . . The War in the North

Yom Reva’ee

Wednesday

16 Kislev 5784

November 29 2023

Lest we forget as this day comes to an end, it was on November 29, 1947 that the United Nations voted to create a state of Israel and a state of Palestine. As we all know, Jews accepted the vote; the Arabs did not.

A little more than 5 and a half months later, our beloved country of Israel was reborn.

UPDATE 10:00 PM

The ten Israeli hostages are apparently now in Egypt.

UPDATE 8:30 PM

10-month-old Kfir Bibas, the youngest Israeli hostage: HamISIS now says that he and his family are dead.

10-month-old Kfir Bibas, the youngest Israeli hostage: HamISIS now says that he and his family are dead.

A tragic story that has been part of this day in Israel is that of the Bibas family. As you may not know, on October 7th the Bibas family of Nir Oz was kidnapped.

A video surfaced showing that the father Yarden was shot in the head and badly wounded.

Another video made by the terrorists showed the terrified mother, Shiri, surrounded by terrorists–clutching her two sons Ariel (4) and Kfir (7 months) to her chest with a blanket covering them.

Kfir was the youngest hostage taken on October 7th.

All Israel expected Kfir, Ariel, and Shiri to be released in the first group of children and mothers.

They were not.

Two days ago, HamISIS said that they had turned the Bibas family over to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine and didn’t know where they were.

Today, HamISIS issued a statement that they are dead.

Of course we all pray that this is a case like the earlier one in which Israel was notified that a hostage was dead, only to have her show up in a release.

We here at OneIsrael pray that it is the same with the Bibas family.

UPDATE 8:00 PM

Reports from an hour ago were premature. It turns out that the only hostages in the hands of the Red Cross are the two who also have Russian citizenship. As usual, HamISIS is delaying the release of the Israelis.

UPDATE 7:00 PM

The latest group of 12 hostages are now in the hands of the Red Cross. All we in the public know at this time is that there are 5 children and 7 women. Two of those being released also have Russian citizenship.

UPDATE 12:00 PM

Yesterday, Kafir Weizman at the grave of his father Lior who was brutally murdered by HamISIS terrorists on October 7th. The number of children who lost a parent or both parents is astonishing.

I include the above photo because there now seems to be a headlong rush for a permanent ceasefire–a ceasefire and end of the war that will make meaningless all the sacrifices of our nearly 400 dead and countless wounded soldiers as well as the deaths of the more than 800 Israeli civilians slaughtered on October 7.

All we have heard from Netanyahu, Galant, and Gantz is bravado talk about how the war will resume and HamISIS will be destroyed above and below ground. Yet with every hour that passes, that seems more unlikely.

The absurd scene at the hostage release in Gaza last night where each hostage was “escorted” to a Red Cross vehicle by a heavily armed HamISIS terrorist on one side and a heavily armed Islamic Jihad terrorist on the other side shows just how far we are from dismantling the Palestinian terrorists in Gaza.

And if that “escorting” was not enough, we then had the Red Cross vehicles accompanied by pickup trucks full of terrorists to the Rafah Crossingpickup trucks exactly like those used in the October 7th massacres. HamISIS is not only alive and well, it is brazenly reminding us what it did and threatening to do it again.

Yahya Sinwar of HamISIS is playing Israel for fools just like we predicted he would. In the last hour comes word that now he wants another 4 day ceasefire so that HamISIS can look for more hostages. In return, he is offering to release some older adult men and a few soldiers–in return for the mass release of adult Palestinian terrorists in Israeli prisons.

We are living in a theater of the absurd with the ultimate absurdity being that our government does not seem to have the slightest idea of what to do except to acquiesce to Sinwar, Joe Biden, the European Union, and all of the Arab countries around us.

The Abominable United Nations Strikes Again

Following the massacres in our communities along the Gaza border, the egregiously disgusting United Nations General Assembly passed yet another resolution against Israel last night calling for an Israeli withdrawal to the 1949 Armistice lines and a handover of the Golan Heights to Syria.

The vote was 91 in favor, 8 against, and 62 abstentions.

Which countries joined Israel by voting against this dangerous resolution? Australia, Canada, Israel, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Palau, United Kingdom, and the United States.

What are some of the countries that abstained? Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine. Obviously, I have listed some of the European countries that threw Israel under the bus yet again. Ten years from now, those European countries–which are becoming more and more Muslim–will be voting with all the Arab countries.

The voting board last night:

"Green" means against Israel. "Red" means for Israel. "Yellow" means abstaining.

“Green with a +” means against Israel. “Red with a -” means for Israel. “Yellow with an x” means abstaining.

UPDATE 8:00 AM

The Morning Hostage Update

The condition of the 10 women released last night is described as “complex but stable.” What is complex are some of the unusual wounds that they have.  At the same time, horrific descriptions of abuse are emerging.

Numerous female hostages have now reported being caged and some of the children report being beaten and threatened with guns pointed at their heads. At least one child was forced to watch HamISIS video of the massacre in his community.

All of the above and being denied food: it is apparent that the HamISIS monsters used starvation as a means of brutality and torture. Other hostages report that they were tied up for days with little to no access to any sort of bathroom as they were forced to wear the same clothing they were kidnapped in for the entire time of their captivity.

Finally, more than one child hostage has returned unable to speak in a normal voice. It is not known why but a few of them will only speak in whispers. Apparently they were beaten and threatened when they spoke in a normal voice.

Why Isn’t Anyone Talking About IDF Wounded?

Perhaps so as not to alarm the Israeli public, the IDF and media have been virtually mum concerning the many soldiers who have been terribly wounded in the fighting in Gaza.

One such soldier,  Sgt. (res.) Matan Levy from the 5th Brigade was blinded and had his right hand amputated. From his hospital bed in Sheba Hospital, he said this yesterday:  “We need to end this threat of Hamas for good, not stop now. Those who live in the south should live quietly. My and my friend’s injury must not be for nothing.”

The “Humanitarian” Parade Continues

According to the IDF spokesman, 4 diesel fuel tanks and 4 cooking gas tanks were delivered to Gaza yesterday “to humanitarian aid organizations”.

What a joke.

Every one of those organizations beginning with the abominable UNRWA is nothing but a front for HamISIS. Every drop of fuel that they get is immediately grabbed by the terrorists.

As we have pointed out, if and when the ceasefires end, we will immediately be hit with missile attacks as we were at the beginning of the war. None of HamISIS’ vast repository of fuel has ever been touched, and now they have even more to operate the ventilators in their tunnels and their hydraulic missile launchers.

By the way, another 200 “humanitarian” trucks arrived in Gaza yesterday–these supposedly carrying food, water, shelter equipment, and medical supplies. If you believe that those items were the only things in those trucks, I will happily sell you a beautiful new beachfront home in northern Gaza.
