UPDATE 9:00 PM

Another soldier has fallen in defense of Israel:

Sgt Maj. (Res.) Adi Shani, age 39, from Tzur Yitzhak, a reconnaissance soldier in Logistics Unit 6036

May His Name Always Be Remembered For A Blessing

411 IDF soldiers, policemen, and first responders have fallen in battle since October 7th.

85 of these are IDF soldiers who have died in the ground offensive in Gaza.

An Important Statement from the IDF Spokesman Tonight

Division 98, which includes the commando formation and other special units, launched a combined attack on the area of the city of Khan Yunis against the centers of gravity of the terrorist organization Hamas.

Within a few hours the fighters of the division broke through the defense lines of the Khan Yunis Brigade, surrounded the city and for the first time began to maneuver in the heart of the area. From the beginning of the attack, the fighters of the division eliminated many terrorists in encounters and using fire from the air, located about 30 tunnel shafts and destroyed them.

The forces that launched the divisional attack attacked many terrorist targets in the area. The forces raided a Hamas battalion outpost, and found many weapons and intelligence. At the same time other forces crown the city of Khan Yunis.

The commando formation and the Givati brigade arrived in the center of Khan Yunis and began targeted raids in the heart of the city. The fighters eliminated terrorists, destroyed terrorist infrastructure and located weapons. In addition, terrorist targets were attacked, including a warehouse for weapons located inside a mosque.

The Khan Yunis Brigade is one of the two most dominant brigades in Hamas. The city of Khan Yunis is a center of gravity of the terrorist organization and is identified as a military and governmental symbol.

All the leadership of the terrorist organization Hamas, political and military, grew up in the area of the city of Khan Yunis, their sons are Yahya Sinwar, Muhammad Sinwar and Muhammad Daf. Now the city is occupied by the 98th Division.

Just In Case You Didn’t Read About or Hear About This

When questioned by Rep. Elise Stefanik in Congress yesterday, the presidents of Harvard, MIT, and Penn indicated just how morally bankrupt academia has become.

They each refused to say that a student or campus organization at their university that calls for the genocide of the Jews violates their universities’ codes of conduct.

You can watch the exchange by clicking here.

Stefanik’s post after the egregious testimony:

“Presidents of Harvard, MIT, and Penn REFUSE to say whether “calling for the genocide of the Jews” is bullying and harassment according to their codes of conduct. Even going so far to say it needs to turn to “action” first. As in committing genocide. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND ANTISEMITIC. They must all resign immediately today.”

What has the world come to? Into what moral abyss has it fallen?

UPDATE 4:05 PM

On the Ground in the North

*Hezbollah has resumed missile fire attacking the IDF base on Mt. Dov and the one at Mt. Hermon.

*In response, an IAF drone attacked a target in Mis al-Jabel.

*IDF artillery has targeted Shekhin, Al-Jabein, Al-Kharariya, Fardis, Al-Habriya, and Ayita al-Jabal.

In the South

The Houthis in Yemen fired another missile at Eilat (13:11); it was intercepted over the city.

Missiles from Palestinians in Gaza targeted Beersheva and the Bedouin settlements (16:00–5 minutes ago), as well as Magen and Nir Oz (14:31).

The Egyptian Response

As we all know, Egypt has been anxious for the world to see its “humanitarian” efforts bringing fuel (Pres. Sisi is making a fortune because the fuel is coming from a company he is heavily involved in) and other items.

However, while this has been going on, what has the Egyptian Army been doing?

It has busy putting up humanitarian berms, a new humanitarian concrete wall, and a humanitarian barbed wire fence along its border with Gaza to stop any Gazan refugees from entering Egypt.

Nauseating Former PM Ehud Olmert

Ehud Olmert, the uber leftist former PM of Israel who tried to give away Jerusalem and the rest of the country in 2007-8 to the PLO, appeared on Turkish television yesterday.

Just the idea that any Israeli would appear on Turkish television is obscene. Turkish PM Erdogan has spent the last 60 days doing everything possible to support HamISIS and to rant his anti-Semitic venom at every possible venue.

Yet there Olmert was, and in an extraordinarily egregious statement he accused Israeli government members of “butchery and murder.”

Here we are in the middle of the war started when actual Palestinian butchery of Israelis took place on October 7th, and we have Olmert trying to hand the enemy pr sound bites. It was completely nauseating.

On the Ground

In the South

*The IAF has attacked 250 terror targets in northern Gaza this morning.

*IDF soldiers uncovered a huge cache of weapons inside a school building and a clinic in the northern Gaza Strip containing hundreds of short and long range missiles, RPG launchers, anti-tank missiles, and dozens of explosive charges.

*IDF forces have surrounded Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza.

*Missile fire from Gaza directed at Nir Yitzhak and Sufa (12:33); Nir Yitzhak (12:18); (Kissufim (10:07); Reim (08:56).

Two Appalling American Actions in the Last 24 Hours

1. The Biden Administration has apparently informed us that we have until the beginning of January to wrap up the ground operation in Gaza.

Say what? We thank the Bidenites profusely for their assistance in this war. But not too profusely. Israel is not going to jeopardize the lives of our soldiers just to meet some deadline by Washington. The utter chutzpah of the Bidenites is flabberghasting.

2. Secretary of State Blinken announced a new policy to rescind the U.S. visa exemptions of Jews in Judea and Samaria who “are believed to be” guilty of violence against Palestinians.

Yes, you read that correctly.

“Believed to be” . . . later clarified by the State Department to “accused of.”

Not arrested, not indicted, not tried, not found guilty . . . just accused of. If this isn’t a return to the McCarthy era in which anyone could inform on anyone, I don’t know what it is.

Even the odious War Cabinet member Benny Gantz who has spent years currying favor in Washington was taken aback by Washington’s references to “settler violence” and had this to say at a press conference last night:

“I ask everyone, including my American colleagues, not to use the term “settler violence”. This term does not represent the citizens of Israel, nor does it represent the settlers in Judea and Samaria, ninety-nine percent or more of whom are normative and law-abiding people. There are settlements, where eighty percent of the men are now defending Israel, our home, on the war fronts in the south and the north.”

As we have already pointed out in a previous update, there is a sizable disproportion of soldiers from Judea and Samaria falling in battle compared to the population in the rest of the country.

Why? Because they are all first line combat troops.

For the U.S. to act in this way in the middle of this war is appalling.

UPDATE 8:00 AM

On the Ground in Gaza

*The IDF has begun flooding tunnels using 4 large pumping stations to bring in seawater. It is not clear in what part of Gaza or to what extent, but some HamISIS terrorists have already been flushed out and killed. The abominable U.N. expressed “severe reservations” yesterday that flooding the tunnels will cause residential areas overhead to collapse and will mix seawater with sewage.

Here at OneIsrael we can only say that we hope so.

In the first place, any tactic that saves our soldiers from having to go into the tunnels should be used.

Second, any tactic that causes residential areas overhead to collapse is a good outcome.

Third, sewage has been mixed with seawater for years by Gazans; we know this because that seawater/sewage often floats northward to our beaches here in Ashdod.

As you may not know, even though central Gaza is actually on a hill about 45 feet (14 meters) above sea level, almost all of the neighborhoods around the center are built on low-lying land below sea level.

*The IDF has entered the center of Khan Younis with multiple brigades led by Division 162 simultaneously reaching the center from different directions.

*At the same time, the IDF led by Divisions 162 and 36 have entered HamISIS’ last neighborhood stronghold in southern Gaza of Shujayieh.

*Also at the same time, other IDF forces have started finishing the job of clearing Beit Hanoun and Jabaliya.

*The IAF has been hard at work all night; this morning the Air Force is focusing on the southern Gaza neighborhoods of Absanim, Bnei Suhila, and Al Karara.

The IDF Announced This Morning That Two More Soldiers Have Fallen:

Maj. (res.) Yehonatan Malka, 23, from Beersheva, an armored fighter in the 82nd Battalion

Lt. Col. (Ret.) Yochai Gur Hershberg, 52, from Philip Farm, Commander of the Missing Persons Locating Unit in the Fire Brigade (Division 98)

May their memories be for a blessing.

Remember this photo from yesterday:

This narrowly missed two people who were walking by.

This narrowly missed two people who were walking by on a street in Tel Aviv.

It turns out that what we identified as a “missile” yesterday in this photo (and two more) was actually an Iron Dome interceptor. It fell to earth 7 minutes after intercepting an incoming missile from Gaza; hence, the IDF warning to always wait at least 10 minutes before going outside after a missile attack.

SPECIAL NOTICE

We urge you to support our IDF soldiers by clicking on the DONATE button in the right hand column of this page. All donations go directly to those on the front who need warm clothing and protective equipment. Thank you for your consideration.
