UPDATE 11:00 PM

Follow-up to the Disaster Reportage Earlier

It turns out that the truckload of IDF explosives to be used in destroying a tunnel was accidentally detonated by a tank shell fired at terrorists by the IDF. In short, this is another horrible case of “friendly fire” casualties.

On the Ground in the South

From the IDF spokesman 2 hours ago:

“The combat team fighters of the Paratrooper Brigade are fighting in the heart of Khan Yunis, eliminating terrorists in face-to-face battles and through sniper fire and locating many weapons including weapons, grenades and ammunition. During an offensive activity of the 101st Battalion Combat Team, terrorists opened fire from buildings in the area. The fighters directed airstrikes and tank attacks to eliminate the terrorists. After that, the fighters carried out scans in the area in order to rule out the presence of additional terrorists. As part of scanning one of the buildings, the fighters of the 101st Battalion encountered terrorists barricaded in the building. The fighters strived for contact and eliminated the terrorists who were deployed in the area. During the encounter, an Oketz dog was killed and seven fighters were wounded in various ways.”

UPDATE 5:00 PM

185 soldiers have now fallen in the land war in Gaza.

It has not been a good day for Israel and the IDF. 9 more soldiers–all combat engineers–died in an explosion in southern Gaza when an IDF vehicle carrying explosives to blow up a tunnel exploded (cause unknown). 30 more soldiers were wounded–10 critically.

Israel Takes Out Another Hezbollah Commander

Ali Hussein Barji, the terrorist in charge of Hezbollah’s air unit in the southern Lebanon was killed today in a targeted assassination in Khirbet Selm. He was also responsible for launching the hundreds of drones towards northern Israel and most recently as the IAF AFB near Miron.

Three other Hezbollah leaders in southern Lebanon were eliminated in another strike.

Go Home Blinken!

It seems like U.S. Secretary of State Blinken arrives in Israel every other day. And whereas in the early stages of the war Blinken’s message was always balanced, and whereas he has been instrumental in Israel being able to receive important ammunition, his message lately has been blunt:

*humanitarian aid to the poor Palestinians in Gaza must be increased immediately.

*Palestinians who lived in northern Gaza must be allowed to return to their homes as soon as possible.

There is no recognition from Blinken or any other Bidenite that all of the humanitarian aid flows straight into the hands of HamISIS and thereby lengthens the war, nor is there any recognition that Israelis who lived along the Gaza border cannot return to their homes because those homes continue to be bombarded everyday by missiles from Palestinian terrorists in Gaza.
