The Last 24 Hours in Central Israel

*2 heavily armed Palestinian terrorists were just caught in Rehovot’s Industrial Zone by the Shin Bet’s “Tequila Unit”. They were on the verge of carrying out a major bombing attack in the city.

*Earlier in the day, 2 Palestinian terrorists attacked in Ra’anana, killing a 70-year-old woman and wounding 20 more–two critically.

The attack began on Harushot Street where at least one terrorist jumped into a car being driven by the woman, stabbed her to death, threw her out on the street, and proceeded run over 3 people.

After he hit the people, the car stalled and he grabbed another car running over more people on his way to Achoza Street before abandoning that car and fleeing the scene. He was finally captured by police along with a second terrorist.

It turns out that the two terroists were: Ahmed Zidat, 25 years old, resident of Bnei Naim/Yitir, and Mahmoud Zidat, 44 years old, resident of Bani Naim/Yitir near Hevron.

Relatives, they had previously been arrested numerous times for illegally entering the country. Nevertheless, they were illegally residing in Ra’anana and working at a carwash there. The owner of the carwash was also arrested by police today.

All of this comes in the context of the recently approved idiotic plan of the government to bring in some 10,000 Palestinian workers aged 45 and older to work in the country.

Knesset Legislator Orit Struck commented today:

“The shocking attack in Ra’anana, overwhelms with its full force the illogicality of the demand to bring Palestinian workers into Israel. Profile of the terrorists: At the age of 44-45 and that they made a living in Israel. . . Condolences to the families, prayer for the healing of the wounded, and for more correct judgment for the decision makers.”

The Last 24 Hours in the South

*The entire 36th IDF Division is withdrawing from central Gaza for a period of R&R. Following its withdrawal, there are only 3 fighting divisions remaining in Gaza: Division 162 in northern Gaza, Division 99 which controls the corridor between north and south Gaza, and Division 98 which is fighting in Khan Younis.

The Last 24 Hours in the North

There have been at least 3 missile barrages at Lebanese border communities: Margaliot, Matat, and Kiryat Shmona.

The Last 24 Hours in Judea and Samaria

*A “Lt.Col” in the PLO carried out an attack at the Einav Checkpoint in Samaria. No Israelis were wounded; the terrorist was killed.

*IDF special forces surrounded a building in Shechem (Nablus) and are engaged in an ongoing firefight with terrorists there.

*IDF forces are once again fighting in Jenin.

*IDF forces killed a terrorist near Hevron in Dora.

*It is reported this morning that PLO “police” have been undergoing combat training in Algeria since December. Among other skills they are developing is parachute training.

Unbelievable.

The Last 24 Hours in the Red Sea Area

American and British forces have struck the Houthi naval base at Hudeidah again. This comes after another “incident” off the coast of Yemen (the following is from the British Maritime Reporting Station):
