525 IDF soldiers, police, and first responders have died since October 7th191 of these have fallen in the ground war in Gaza.

May their memories be for a blessing.

Hostage Information:

*IDF soldiers are currently exhuming more bodies from a cemetery near Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis. The obvious thought is that “hostages” may be buried there.

*It was revealed last night that the bodies of 4 abductees (who were reported dead on December 13: Sgt. Ron Sherman, Cpl. Nick Beiser, Rabbi Ziv Dado, and Eden Zachariah) were all discovered in the same tunnel. Autopsies showed that none of them died from wounds: it is now thought that they were suffocated or poisoned to death.

*The father of a soldier “abducted” in Gaza revealed that he had received an offer to return his son’s head for $10,000.

Fighting On The Ground:

*17 HamISIS terrorists were killed in a firefight in Bnei Sohila (southern Gaza).

*Another group of terrorists was killed near Al-Tawam Square in northern Gaza.

*More terrorists were killed in an artillery attack on the Khashashin area west of Rafah.

*The IDF actively engaged terrorists in Jabaliya, north of Gaza City, Deir Al-Balah, and in Al-Burij.

The Last 24 Hours in the North

*A Hezbollah drone penetrated the area around Mt. Hermon (15:58).

Hezbollah launched large “Burkan” missiles at the IDF post on Mt. Dov.

Incoming Hezbollah missile alerts for Meta Asher (16:24), Metula (16:13).

The Last 24 Hours in Judea and Samaria

A Palestinian terrorist attacked soldiers at the Ofra Junction. No Israelis were wounded; the terrorist was shot and killed.

The Last 24 Hours in Judea and Samaria

The Biden Administration has decided to “redefine” the Houthis in Yemen as a “terrorist organization”.

Why “redefined”?

Because one of the first acts of the Biden Administration when it came into office 3 years ago was to take the Houthis off the terrorist list.

Money Matters

*Finland has donated one million euros to MADA. Kolakevod to our Finnish friends!

*According to the Israel Treasury, 115,000 workers returned to work in December.

282,000 (7% of the work force) were “absent”–132 thousand due to the reduction of business activity and 150 thousand due to reserves. This compares to 400,000 absent in November, and 765,000 absent in October.

A Fascinating Story of the Bnei Menashe

Taken from the Shavei Israel Organization and Ynet News

The Bnei Menashe in solidarity with Israel.

The Bnei Menashe in Aizawl in solidarity with Israel.

“According to the tradition passed down through the generations, the members of the Bnei Menashe community in India consider themselves descendants of the Menashe tribe, one of the ten tribes that were expelled from the Land of Israel at the end of the First Temple period, more than 2,700 years ago, by the king of Assyria. Their number is currently estimated at about 10,500 people. So far, about 5,500 Bnei Menashe immigrated to Israel thanks to the Shavei Israel organization, and about 5,000 are still waiting in India for the opportunity to immigrate to Israel, but the government is delaying efforts to immigrate to Israel [until they undergo orthodox conversions].

. . . 215 Bnei Menashe men who immigrated to Israel are already serving in the IDF and taking part in fighting against Hamas and Hezbollah. According to the organization, 75 of them are regular soldiers (the vast majority in combat units) and 140 in the reserves.

In recent days, the Bnei Menashe held a support and solidarity march with the State of Israel in the city of Aizawl in the state of Mizoram in northeastern India on the occasion of 100 days since the outbreak of the war in Gaza. The participants waved flags Israel and called on the government to bring them to Israel immediately so that they could enlist in the IDF and fight alongside the soldiers, whom they called ‘our brothers and sisters’.”
