The Sadly Revealing Quote Of The Day

“If you do not leave the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, missiles will be fired at Jerusalem.”

PM Netanyahu in a “threat” to Knesset Legislator Itamar Ben Gvir who has moved his office to Sheikh Jarrah in support of the Jewish families there.

How sad it is that we have gotten to a point at which all the Prime Minister of Israel can do to thwart missile fire from Palestinian terrorists in Gaza is threaten an Israeli Jew to move out of a Jewish location in our capital city of Jerusalem.

Or pay more blackmail to those same terrorists. Just today, the government announced that it would allow “senior Palestinian businessmen” in Gaza to enter Israel following the payout of Qatari money to Hamasniks.

After 12 years of Netanyahu-led governments, Israel is totally cowed by Palestinian terrorists.

TODAY’S BLOG

Israel Spirals Out Of Control

If the above hasn’t been bad enough, some of the worst violence of today has been in Jerusalem–specifically in the Shimon the Just (aka Sheikh Jarrah) neighborhood and on the Har HaBeit (Temple Mount).

At Sheikh Jarrah, Israel awaits a ruling from the Supreme Court on Monday as to whether 4-7 Palestinian families will be evicted from housing they have squatted in since 1948–when they moved in following the Jordanian-Palestinian ethnic cleansing of Jerusalem of all Jews.

These squatters have become the darlings of the domestic left in Israel as well as the European Union, Biden Administration, and international media. Jews already living in the area and who regularly go there to pray at the tomb of Shimon the Just (a priest from the Second Temple) have been violently attacked.

All of which led to Itamar Ben Gvir moving his office into the neighborhood, and Palestinian terrorists threatening to attack Jerusalem if the families are kicked out.

Meanwhile, severe clashes broke out on the Temple Mount Friday evening during which six police officers were wounded. The Red Crescent reported, bogusly as always, that at least 163 Palestinians were injured.

This followed 75,000 Muslim worshipers being incited to violence by the imam of the Al-Aksa Mosque (the Mosque speakers were belatedly turned off).

The situation on the Mount, as well as at Shimon the Just, as well as in Judea and Samaria, as well as on the Gaza border remains a developing story.

If the situation warrants, OneIsrael will offer updates as necessary.
