Southern Israel Goes Up In Smoke As The Netanyahu Government Trembles

So far today, more than 35 fires have been reported along the Gaza border–started by explosive balloons from Gaza.

It is important to remember that the purpose of the explosive balloons is not only to lay waste to the agricultural fields and forests of the South, but also to murder Israelis–specifically Israeli children. That was always the point of attaching the explosives to colorful balloons.

Here’s a balloon which remarkably did not explode today after it landed in a yard at Moshav Zimrat in the Sdot Negev Regional Council:

What the Palestinians really want--to kill Israeli children.

What the Palestinians really want–to kill Israeli children.

If all this hasn’t been bad enough, the Netanyahu government has just done what it has always done in the face of Palestinian explosive balloon terror coming from Gaza.

Nothing.

And if that is not enough, the Netanyahu government has just persuaded the Supreme Court not to act on the eviction of the Palestinian squatters from the Jewish homes in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of Jerusalem.

That decision is now frozen.

How many times in the past have we seen Benjamin Netanyahu cower in the face of Palestinian and international threats? Endless construction projects in Judea, Samaria, and Jerusalem frozen, the evacuation and razing of Khan Al-Ahmar frozen, the building at Giv’at HaMatos frozen, the declaration of sovereignty of Judea and Samaria frozen, any pro-active action taken against the terrorists in Gaza frozen, and on and on, frozen.

Netanyahu’s approach for these last 12 years might best be described as “containment by cowering and freezing.”

All of this is not to say that a replacement or “change” government would be any better than Netanyahu; we firmly believe here at OneIsrael that it will be worse because it will proactively embrace Israel’s enemies.

Nevertheless, one should not forget what 12 years of a Netanyahu government has wrought.
