IDF soldiers on the ground in Gaza and in the north have indicated that they urgently need more basic supplies and armaments.

The IDF ombudsman reported last month that there has been a 265% increase in the number of incidents in which soldiers are short of combat equipment and basic protective gear.

Note that in addition to the tactical vest, soldiers can now wear neck armor to protect against stabbing attacks (IDF photo).

Here at OneIsrael we are beginning another campaign for our soldiers. This campaign will extend through Passover and to Shavuot.

Please consider donating to our campaign by clicking on the donate button in the right hand column on this page. All donations go directly to our soldiers.

UPDATE 9:00 AM

A Disastrous Day In Gaza

Four commandos operating under the 7th Brigade in northern Khan Yunis were on a patrol accompanied by armored forces. They entered a destroyed house and were ambushed by terrorist snipers who came out of a tunnel in the house. A short time later the terrorists were killed but not before our soldiers had died:

(l-r) Capt. Ido Baruch, 21, from Tel Mond

Sgt. Amitai Shoshan, 20, from Azriel

Sgt. Ilai Zair, 20, from Kidar

Sgt. Reef Harush, 20, from Kibbutz Ramat David

260 IDF soldiers have now fallen in the Gaza operation that began on October 27th.

In addition, we now know that 2 more “hostages” are dead:

Efrat Katz

Efrat Katz, 68, from Nir Oz.

According to the IDF, Efrat was being taken back to Gaza in a car full of terrorists on October 7th when the car was hit by a strike from an IAF helicopter which killed her and the terrorists (it is unclear how the IDF knows that she was alive when the car was hit). Her daughter and two granddaughters were also kidnapped by terrorists–but were released on November 24.

Elad Katzir, 47, from Nir Oz.

Elad was kidnapped to Gaza on October 7 and held by Islamic Jihad. He appeared in a video in January, but was murdered shortly after that and buried in Gaza. Acting on intel, an IDF squad located his body, exhumed it, and returned it to Israel several days ago.

May The Memories of These Soldiers and Hostages Be For A Blessing

On the Ground in the North

Yesterday saw barrage after barrage of missiles fired out of southern Lebanon at northern Israel:

(12:35) Shlomi; (14:09) Even Menachem, Zarit, Netua, Shtula; (15:48) Idmit, Eilon, Goren, Arab al-Aramshe; (16:10) Dafna, HaGoshrim, Kfar Szold, Shear Yishuv, Beit Hillel, Amir, Sde Nechemia.

Each barrage involved numerous missiles; for example, the barrage that hit Shlomi involved half a dozen missiles, one of which severely damaged a home in the community (fortunately the resident of the house was in a fortified area and not wounded physically).

Last night (21:55), there was an aircraft penetration from Nimrod all the way to Majdal Shams at the foot of Mt. Hermon.

During the day, an IAF Hermes Drone was shot down in southern Lebanon by a surface to air missile fired by Hezbollah.

Leftist Anarchists Rage In The Streets Again Last Night

Tel Aviv was the scene of another large demonstration last night in which a smaller Hostage Family demonstration was completely overwhelmed by the “Kaplan” anti-Netanyahu, anti-government “protesters”.

Despite police warnings that no bonfires could be set in the street and no freeways blocked, that is precisely what the “protesters” did.

Ridiculously, all the talk this morning in the media is about a “run-over” incident in which a driver (apparently inebriated) was stopped by the mob, got out, was forced back into the car and then slightly ran into 5 “protesters” in an attempt to continue on his way. One “protester” was taken to the hospital with bruises to her torso. The driver was arrested–and released this morning.
