The News on the Israeli Street

The war in Judea and Samaria:

Molotov, IED, and “rock” attacks.

Palestinian terrorists attempted to murder Israelis between Ofra and Givat Assaf, on the Gush Etzion-Hevron Road near Beit Omer, north of Ofra, at Hawara, near Beit El, Shimsha, Luban a-Sharqiya, Road 465 west of Abud (two terrorists were shot), the Hosan Bypass, Beitar, Beit Omer, Road 60 south of Givat Assaf, Shevi Shomron, Avraham Hasnou, near Einbus Square, between Tapuach and Migdalot, and at a myriad of other locations.

Israeli security forces arrested a Palestinian from Gaza who had received a merchant’s permit to enter Israel. The Palestinian was engaging in intelligence gathering for Hamas.

Talk about outrageous . . .

Believe it or not, our idiotic IDF General Command has now decided to provide the leaders of all the “humanitarian terrorist” organizations operating in Hevron the private telephone numbers of all the senior IDF commanders in the area.

Yes, you read that correctly.

Humanitarian terrorists will now be able to contact IDF commanders at will.

TODAY’S BLOG:

The Petty Squabbling Continues

On the government formation front . . .

President Herzog has “somewhat” agreed to grant an extension to Netanyahu to form a government.

We say “somewhat” because instead of the usual 14 days, Netanyahu was given 10 days–until December 21.

At this point, the main sticking point seems to be the distribution of ministerships to members of Likud.

In your humble servant’s opinion, this entire government formation saga has gone from the ridiculous to the absurd. Netanyahu and his government should have been sworn in weeks ago–and yet, the process drags on as politicians squabble over plum positions in the new government.
