Inciting Quote of the Day Designed To Kill Israelis

“These people, the crazy, the obnoxious such as Bezalel Smotrich and Itamar Ben Gvir are happily thinking of turning the conflict with the Palestinians which revolves around territory and politics into a significant religious war between Israel and Islam. They are ready to destroy everything on the Temple Mount, and implement old traditions of the Torah such as slaughtering goats and sheep for sacrifices.”

Former PM and major funder of the anti-government movement Ehud Barak in an interview with Chatham House, the Royal Institute of Foreign Affairs in London.

Talk about incitement: “A religious war between Israel and Islam” . . . “They are ready to destroy everything on the Temple Mount”.

These are precisely the lines that the PLO, Hamas, and Islamic Jihad use when they exhort Palestinians and Muslims everywhere to come and protect the Al Aksa Mosque and Dome of the Rock on the Temple Mount.

It is unthinkable that Barak would employ such inflammatory rhetoric to display his animus against the Netanyahu government.

The Photo of the Day

President Biden has doubled down on his repudiation of PM Netanyahu, but that doesn’t mean the rest of the world has. Yesterday, Azerbaijan opened an embassy in Israel:

The News on the Israeli Street

The war in Judea and Samaria.

Shooting attacks:

Palestinian terrorists opened fire on IDF forces in Tulkarm this morning.

Click here to hear the gunfire as an IDF vehicle goes through a narrow Tulkarm alleyway.

IED, “rock”, and Molotov attacks:

Palestinian terrorists attacked at Singil northeast of Ramallah, at the Salem IDF outpost, on the Gush Etzion-Hevron Road near Al-Aruv, at Luban al-Sharqiya, in the Hawara area, and near Tekoa as well as many other places.

A thwarted stabbing attack:

A knife-wielding Palestinian terrorist was captured at the Al-Jib Crossing by Border Guards.

Another, much larger, thwarted attack . . .

A huge plot to murder Jews and Israelis in Greece was reported in the Greek media yesterday.

Greek police working from intel provided by Mossad have arrested two Pakistani terrorists who were under the direction of an Iranian. The extensive plans included flooding a restaurant near the Chabad House with poison gas, blowing up gas cannisters, and kidnapping and murdering other Israelis.

The Iranian promised the Pakistanis 16,000 Euros for each dead Israeli or Jew.

The two Pakistanis are under arrest and charged with terrorism. The Iranian has escaped to Iran and will be tried in absentia.

Mixed signals from the U.S. . . . again . . .

Two days ago we had the U.S. Ambassador to Israel Tom Nides falsely announcing that PM Netanyahu would now be invited to the White House. That announcement was quickly squashed by Biden himself.

Yesterday we had news that after Israel agreed for the U.S. to have access to the personal data of Israelis that Israelis would finally receive the visa exemption which is available to citizens of so many other countries. This morning, that information was also squashed by the U.S. State Department: “At this stage, Israel does not meet all the conditions for a visa exemption.”

Bravo to FIFA . . .

Following the refusal of the governor of Bali to host Israel’s Under-20 national soccer team in the upcoming “Mondialito” soccer tournament, FIFA decided yesterday to change the venue of the tournament that will take place between May 20 and June 11.

The governor’s decision had caused an uproar.

Kolakevod to FIFA.

TODAY’S BLOG

The “Leftist” Anti-Government Movement Goes Violently Crazy

Just as we all knew would happen and as they themselves said, anarchist/anti-government “protesters” are trying to intensify their activities.

This morning the Block the Coup” anarchists group chained themselves to the entrance gate to the Knesset blocking vehicles. They issued a statement in which they ranted about democracy, a coup d’etat, thug militias, civil war, and on and on.

Last night, hundreds of angry anarchists organized by the “Standing Together” Movement railed in Habima Square in Tel Aviv against the establishment of a National Guard–a unit which is being formed to try to reduce crime in Israeli-Arab cities:

As usual, the "protest" focused on National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir whom the protesters have unwittingly strengthened with their protests.

In an unbelievable attack in Tel Aviv on Sunday night just now coming to light, an elderly orthodox couple was viciously attacked when their car was blocked by anarchists.

Click here to watch the incredible video of how the car was chased down.

In the words of the wife:

“On Sunday my husband and I were in Tel Aviv visiting our son. We drove towards the house. We turned from Ibn Gvirol Street to Kaplan Street. We didn’t know there was a demonstration–a spontaneous demonstration with no police present.

When we turned left there was no way back. Everyone ran towards us, cursed us and knocked on the car, and this is where the attack started. My husband started to drive, then they started running after us. My husband stopped because he saw that there were people who were not going to clear the road, and then everyone cursed and tried to smash the windows.

I just screamed.

Everyone who looked at us realized we were there by mistake; no one thought we were a dangerous couple. We are two ultra-Orthodox, a man and a woman, my husband with a kipa, wearing black and white and with a beard, me with a wig and screaming in panic.

But they didn’t stop. They tried to smash the windows. My husband tried to get out to explain. They just punched him in the face and in the eyes. One put the flag in his face and tore his cheek. He was all bleeding from every possible place, and then he told me I’m going to lose consciousness, take me me to the hospital:

The bloodied husband.

The bloodied husband.

I cried to everyone there and begged them to let me take him to the hospital. In addition, they opened the car for us in the back and got in because the seats were down from every direction, and everyone around continued to take pictures.

They ruined our lives . . . In the video, you see someone yelling, take out his engine–he just wanted my husband to bleed to death there. About what and why?

We finally got out of there after a guy from the demonstration talked to us, and I was able to call the police to come rescue us from there, but they said they didn’t have any policemen to send but would come to a hospital to take evidence.

When we finally got to the hospital, the police never did come . . .

I expect the police to do the job and not treat us like second-class citizens. This could have easily ended in death. God forbid. My husband bled from his ears, eyes, and head and it could have ended in death.

I demand justice and fair treatment as every citizen in the country deserves.”

Can you believe that this is what we have come to in Israel? Anarchists can chase down an orthodox couple in one of the main streets in Tel Aviv and nearly beat the husband to death for no other reason than he is an orthodox Jew.

It is beyond nauseating.

Your humble servant hopes that everyone who was involved in the attack is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law–but we all know that in Tel Aviv that will not happen.
