Reprehensible Quotes of the Day

Quote 1:

“The internal threat to the army and the refusal of its high-quality servants to serve + the breach of trust that has grown – are no less dangerous than an all-out war with Iran.”

IDF Chief of Staff Herzl Halevi

Instead of beating the bushes to encourage all to serve in the IDF and encouraging reservists to fulfill their duty, Halevi is continuing down the path of utter passivity in the face of the threat posed by the IDF refuseniks.

And to say that the refuse movement is no less dangerous than an all out ballistic missile war with Iran is beyond absurd.

Halevi is a bitter disappointment as the IDF Chief of Staff.

Quote 2.

Talk about absurd, read the blather that came out of the mouth of the former commander of the Northern Command Amiram Levin yesterday:

“There are MKs in the government who come from Israel and do not know what democracy is. 57 years of absolute apartheid. The IDF is standing by and beginning to be complicit in war crimes. Walk around Hebron and you will see streets that Arabs cannot walk there, just like what happened in Germany.

Absolute apartheid? War crimes? What in the world is Levin talking about?

Having been to Hevron many times, your humble servant can attest to the fact that there is no place in Hevron where Arabs cannot walk down the street. However, there are places in which they are under greater scrutiny–and those are in the tiny Jewish neighborhoods in the city.

And why are they under greater scrutiny there? Because they have carried out terrorism in the Jewish neighborhoods numerous times before.

There is no comparison with what happened in Nazi Germany. No Jews in Jewish neighborhoods posed any thread to the rest of the German population whatsoever.

Amiram Levin knows nothing about history.

The News on the Israeli Street

The war in Judea, Samaria, Jerusalem, and Gaza.

**Try to wrap your mind around this, dear reader. The Police in eastern Jerusalem arrested a self-identified Palestinian woman after she told others that she wanted to carry out a terrorist attack. When taken to Court, the judge released her.

Why? Because the judge ruled that she has a 3 year old son, and because the judge said that her health condition “is not the best.”

Can you believe this? Next week, she will stab “a Jew” to death or die trying.

**Yesterday, inspectors at a crossing from Israel to Samaria on Road 5 stopped a suspicious vehicle. Inside they found packages of snack food.

What was inside the packages? Guns and ammunition.

This kind of smuggling takes place all the time. Last week, a minibus on its way through a crossing into Gaza was stopped. Inside were 10 drones destined for Hamas terrorists.

Shooting attacks in the last 24 hours:

Palestinian terrorists fired on our soldiers at Al-Yamum, near Jenin.

Palestinian terrorists fired on our soldiers at the IDF pillbox beside Dotan.

IED, “rock”, and Molotov attacks:

Palestinian terrorists attacked on Road 55 between Azzun and Upper Shomron, near Peduel, Al Abuv, Singil, Luban al-Sharqiya, just outside of Hevron, and at a myriad of locations in Gush Etzion.

TODAY’S BLOG:

The Beginning of the Palestinization of Jerusalem

In a development which must have been approved in advance by the Netanyahu government, we saw yesterday the beginning of the Palestinization of our eternal capital.

In an unprecedented move, Saudi Ambassador to Jordan, Naif al-Soudiri, presented to PLO Chairman Mahmoud Abbas’ advisor his credentials as the official “Consul General of Jerusalem.”

Undoubtedly, this is a concession that the Biden Administration demanded of Israel in return for normalization with Saudi Arabia. It gives the Saudis a major foothold in our holy city.

Note that Al-Soudiri is not the “Consul General of East Jerusalem”, he is the “Consul General of Jerusalem.”

This is the first of many such concessions sure to come that will change the face of Israel.

For the worse.

Addendum: In the last hour, FM Eli Cohen has declared that Israel will not allow Saudi Arabia to open a consulate in Jerusalem.

We’ll see how quickly PM Netanyahu changes that tune.
