TODAY’S BLOG:

The Sick And Deluded Ramblings Of Ehud Barak

“Netanyahu is desperate, isolated, out of focus, and unbalanced. He made an impure alliance in order to save himself from criminal trials that are being conducted against him. We are on our way to a civil uprising. People will lose their lives in the protests.”

Former PM Ehud Barak in an interview on American CBS Television yesterday.

Netanyahu is desperate? Who is stalking whom . . . it is Barak who is desperately trying to drum up support in the U.S. for his anti-government movement in Israel.

Netanyahu is isolated? Who has kept his Coalition together for 9 months despite the desperate attempts of Barak, Lapid, and Gantz to overthrow it? And who has world leaders beating down his door to talk to him on his current trip to the U.S.? Just yesterday, the President of Paraguay announced after a meeting in New York with Netanyahu that the Paraguayan Embassy will be established in Jerusalem.

Netanyahu is out of focus? Netanyahu, as always, remains laser-focused on Iran.

Netanyahu is unbalanced? Your humble servant would not be surprised to see Netanyahu file suit for this comment–just as he did for a similar comment by former PM Ehud Olmert. By the way, Olmert lost that suit and had to pay the Netanyahus damages.

Netanyahu made an impure alliance to save himself from criminal trials? Does Barak just think that everyone is stupid? Netanyahu’s trials have continued apace–there has been no attempt to stop them. Netanyahu has steadfastly asserted his innocence in Cases 1000, 2000, and 4000–and a procession of witness has failed miserably to prove the prosecution’s case.

We are on a way to a civil uprising? People will lose their lives in the protests? This is precisely what Barak wants to see. As we have previously reported here at OneIsrael, Barak was recorded several years ago as saying that “when there is Jewish blood in the Yarkon River, Israelis will turn to me to become prime minister.”

How sick can you be?

Ehud Barak is setting new standards.
