The Gaza War: Day 58 . . . The War In The North

Yom Rishon

Sunday

20 Kislev 5784

December 3 2023

UPDATE 6:00 PM

It has been an afternoon of violent attacks against IDF soldiers and Israeli civilians.

In the north at Beit Hillel near the Lebanon border, 8 soldiers and 3 civilians were wounded when terrorists from Lebanon fired an anti-tank missile at a truck and set it afire. Miraculously, none of those wounded is in a life-threatening condition.

In the south, there has been nonstop missile fire from terrorists in Gaza with the following locations targeted: Kissufim (17:42); Kissufim, Nirim (17:19; Nirim, Ein Hashlosha (16:10); Nir Yitzhak, Sufa (15:30); Ashkelon, Kerem Shalom, Zikim (15:00); Nir Yitzhak, Sufa (13:34); Mivtahim, Yesha (13:28); Sderot, Nir Am (13:15); Sufa (13:02); Reim (12:38).

Looking at this list of missile firings, one cannot help but remember how in the week before the “humanitarian” ceasefire, missile fire had decreased to nearly zero. Now, rearmed and refueled, the terrorists are firing like they were in week one of the war.

On the Ground in Gaza

*In a coordinated attack the type of which never occurred before the “humanitarian ceasefire” terrorists from several terror groups are currently attacking our forces in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood with live fire and mortar fire.

*The IAF reported today that since the beginning of the war it has carried out more than 10,000 air strikes on HamISIS assets and in support of troops on the ground.

UPDATE 12:00 PM

The IDF Artillery Corps has been pounding southern Gaza all morning.

Missile and mortar fire in the South during the morning: Nir Am, Sderot (11:01); Nir Oz (10:20); Magen (10:00); Kissufim (09:26).

In the North, a missile exploded in the Golan in an open area, the IDF responded with artillery fire.

There are reports of an explosion on a vessel in the Red Sea caused by drones sent from Yemen. The details as to what boat was hit are unclear.

An Interesting Post from a Muslim

beduins

It is interesting that it takes a Muslim Arab to appreciate that Israel fought to have two Bedouin hostages, Bilal and Aisha Al Ziadna, released by HamISIS. Of course, we here in Israel thought nothing of this–the Bedouins are citizens of Israel–and we should fight for them just like we fight for the release of everyone else. The Bedouins are regularly targeted by missiles fired from Gaza, and Bedouins were among those slaughtered in the Gaza communities on October 7th.

UPDATE 8:00 AM

The Quote of The Morning

“A horror movie, every day that passed was an eternity.”

Former hostage Daniel Aloni speaking at a rally in Tel Aviv last night about what life was like for her underground in Gaza.

May Their Memories Be For a Blessing

The IDF announced the deaths of two more soldiers this morning: Sgt. Aschalwu Sama (20) of Battalion 932 in the Nahal Brigade died of wounds he suffered on November 14; Maj. Gen. (res) Or Brandes (25), a fighter in the 82nd Battalion of the 7th Brigade fell in battle last night.

On the Ground in Gaza

*Following a night of striking HamISIS assets in Khan Younis (southern Gaza) last night, the IAF has expanded the attack in the last few minutes. We hear the increased bombing here in Ashdod–40 km from Khan Younis.

*100 “humanitarian” trucks entered Gaza through the Rafah Crossing yesterday. To no one’s surprise, weapons in the form of drones were discovered in some of the them. Who knows how many other weapons have gotten through? The U.S. put pressure on Israel yesterday to increase “humanitarian aid” even more.

In the South and Center

A missile attack on Ashekelon early this morning (03:46) follows a large scale attack on Tel Aviv and surrounding areas last night (22:00). No one was wounded in the attacks as HamISIS seeks to show it is still alive and kicking in Gaza.

In Judea and Samaria

There have been multiple attacks in the last few days. Yesterday a stabbing attack was thwarted at a checkpoint near Itamar; the terrorist was killed. Early this morning, there was a shooting attack at the Zuchit Junction; no Israelis were wounded, but the terrorists escaped.

As of this hour, the IDF is engaged with terrorists in Qalqilya.

Remember the Palliwood Photo Yesterday?

We showed a photo of a supposed grandfather holding his supposed dead granddaughter in his arms–the supposed victim of an Israeli attack.

It turned out that the baby was in fact a silicon doll. This morning comes news that HamISIS is producing these dolls by the dozens for use in pr. It is difficult to distinguish between dolls and real babies.

If you want to see how difficult, click on this link that shows silicon babies for sale.
