The Fake Deluge of Reports About A Hostage Deal

Two statements say it all today.

First from Ziad Al-Nakhla, the secretary general of Islamic Jihad:

“In response to what is being circulated in the media regarding the initiatives taken by the American government regarding the prisoners of the occupation and their release, we confirm our position. A position according to which we will not engage in any understandings without a guarantee of a comprehensive ceasefire, the withdrawal of the occupation forces, a guarantee of restoration and a clear political solution that guarantees the rights of the Palestinian people.”

In short, no deal without a permanent ceasefire and withdrawal of all Israeli forces from Gaza.

In very short: no deal.

Second from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the “Bnei David” preparatory school in Yishuv Ali:

“This is not ‘another round’, not another exchange of blows, not another operation – absolute victory. no less than that. I am committed to it, our fighters are committed to it, and the absolute majority of the people are committed to it. We will not settle for less than total victory.

I hear statements about all kinds of deals, so I want to make it clear: we will not end this war with less than the achievement of all its goals. This means the elimination of Hamas, the return of all our abductees, and the promise that Gaza will no longer pose a threat to Israel.

We will not remove the IDF from the Gaza Strip and we will not release thousands of terrorists. None of this will happen. What will happen? Absolute victory!”

In short, no deal.

We should remember these statements as we read the fake reports from Israeli and international media.
