UPDATE 4:00 AM

Israel has refused to participate in ceasefire and hostage release talks in Cairo saying that HamISIS’ demands are “delusional’–which is exactly what we wrote here two days ago when those demands were first revealed.

On the Ground in Gaza

*Givati Patrol fighters together with special forces raided al-Amal Hospital in central Khan Yunis, where they arrested dozens of terrorists who were hiding posing as refugees and medical personnel.

*The absurd U.N. said today that Israel must protect Palestinians in Rafah, but opposes Israeli attempts to move them out of harm’s way.

From the IDF Spokesman:

“The 646th Reserve Brigade is operating in the Khan Yunis area. As part of their activity, the reserve soldiers are conducting targeted raids on terrorist infrastructure, encountering the enemy, eliminating terrorists and locating many weapons.

During a targeted raid, troops located rocket launchers placed by Hamas terrorists near a kindergarten and mosque. The launchers, loaded and aimed at the territory of the State of Israel, were destroyed by the forces. Additionally, during searches of a civilian water facility in the area, the forces found a tunnel shaft leading to an underground tunnel route inside the facility. Operations inside the tunnel revealed two eliminated terrorists.

Furthermore, during a targeted raid on assets used by Hamas operatives, many weapons were found: RPG missiles, explosives, AK-47s, military uniforms and vests.”

On the Ground and in the Air in the North

Israeli planes struck targets near Damascus today, and carried out an air strike on Hezbollah assets between Harof and Jabshit in the Nabatia area of southern Lebanon.

Following the deaths of two more Hezbollah terrorists today, Hezbollah claims that 186 of its “fighters” have been killed by Israel.

From the IDF Spokesman:

“Following the sirens that sounded in northern Israel, dozens of launches from Lebanon toward the Golan Heights were identified. The IDF Aerial Defense Array successfully intercepted numerous launches and the rest of them fell in open areas. No injuries were reported.

The sirens that sounded in the area of Kiryat Shmona were sounded as a result of shrapnel from the interception. Sirens were activated in additional locations on the Home Front Command app.

A short while after, IDF soldiers identified one of the launchers from which the fire was carried out in the area of Khilat al-Daba in Lebanon. An aircraft struck the launcher.

The IDF also struck a Hezbollah military compound in the area of Khiam. In addition, IDF artillery struck several locations in Lebanese territory.
