The two countries have been in the midst of negotiations for almost a month mainly focused on what is going on in Libya. Egypt has demanded that Turkish troops and Turkish proxies leave the country, and Ankara has not agreed.

In addition, Egypt wants Turkey to criminalize the Muslim Brotherhood which uses its radio station in Istanbul to incite against Egyptian President Sisi. Again, Turkey has only made a half hearted effort to clamp down on the organization.

There is nothing new to report on the political scene in Israel with rumors abounding about possible coalition deals. Netanyahu still has about three weeks in which to form a government. One thing is certain: if a government is to be formed, it will not be until the last minute,
