Massive missile attack involving at least 130 missiles in first wave of barrages on central and southern Israel. Hundreds of targets including Tel Aviv, Herzliya, Netanya, Ra’anana, Ashdod, Nes Ziona, Rehovot.

Official reports are that 480 missiles have been fired from Gaza; this does not include 130 failed launches. Reports from residents on the ground are considerably higher–they indicate that at least 550 missiles have been fired into Israel.
Amazingly, it is the IDF that is dragging its feet about undertaking a widespread attack in Gaza. At the Cabinet meeting today, the Cabinet instructed the IDF to intensify the attack.
Palestinian terrorists are attacking elsewhere in Israel. An hour ago, there was another drive-by shooting at the Tapuach Junction. This time the soldiers fired back:

The latest war news:
2 Israelis were killed in Ashkelon in a direct missile hit.
8 Israelis were wounded in Ashdod following a number of direct hits. 42 other Israelis have been wounded in other locations.
250 more missiles have been fired into southern Israel since this morning including 138 missiles fired during one five minute period this afternoon at Ashkelon and Ashdod.
More than 450 missiles have been fired out of Gaza since the war began.

Where do we stand at this hour?
Barrage after barrage of missiles continue to pummel southern Israel. There is no firm count on how many have been fired in the last 12 hours, but resident’s reports place the number at between 280 and 300 (officials are reporting approximately 200).
