67,723 Israelis tested positive for Corona yesterday–a number that is the lowest in recent weeks; however, it is remarkably high considering the weather conditions which closed many testing centers.
Similarly the numbers of seriously ill (931) and critically ill (249) did not increase, but we should wait for a few days before judging this to be a trend.
The total number of Israeli dead is 8,541.

The police announced yesterday that their “investigation” into the death of 16-year-old Ahuvia has been closed.
As you may recall, Ahuvia was killed by the police who intentionally knocked the car he was riding in off the road during a police chase.

Naftali Bennett: a man in love with himself.
Not only does Israel have an utterly incompetent prime minister, we also have one who is narcissistic beyond belief.
Naftali Bennett’s interview in tomorrow’s Maariv newspaper reveals a sickeningly pompous person who stops at nothing to exaggerate himself.
A few excerpts from that interview:
On the subject of Corona:
“Israel is today managed the best way in the world.”
Unbelievable. Israel now has the highest morbidity per capita of any country in the world, and if there is one thing that all Israelis agree on, it is that Bennett and Lapid have done a disastrous job in managing the response to Corona.
On former Prime Minister Netanyahu:
“What Netanyahu is trying to do now is to spread chaos and hysteria and distrust.”
Netanyahu is spreading chaos and hysteria and distrust? Spreading chaos, hysteria, and distrust is precisely what Bennett, Lapid, and Gantz have done. And let us not forget that in the run-up to the last election. it was Bennett, Lapid, and Gantz who did everything possible to sow seeds of chaos, hysteria, and distrust.
On his decision to jettison his Yamina Party’s ideology and form a government with Lapid, Gantz, and Mansour Abbas of the Islamist Ra’am Party:
“If we had not succeeded, the state would have fallen into the abyss . . . I jumped on a grenade.”
He jumped on a grenade? What a self-serving piece of horse manure to cast himself as having sacrificed himself to save the nation. Bennett betrayed his Party and his principles for no other reason than grabbing at his one chance of power.
He is most assuredly no savior or messiah. Indeed he is just the opposite.
A student from Malawi, who had worked with an Israeli health volunteer in his country battling AIDS, came up to us as we walked down the street in the UC-Davis Picnic Day Parade and wanted to carry the Israeli flag.
