The Astonishing Quotation of the Day

“Any Palestinian mother who sends her son to die in an attack on IDF soldiers is not a mother. She is an abnormal deviant.”

Ibrahim Ramadan, the governor of Shechem (Nablus), in an interview with Radio A-Najah in Nablus yesterday.

As you can imagine, Ramadan’s sane comments immediately caused a sensation in Palestinian social media which universally condemned him and called for his resignation and worse.

The News on the Israeli Street

The War in Judea, Samaria, and Jerusalem: Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .

In addition to the egregious attack at the Shuafat Checkpoint last night, there was an attempted runover of Border Police in the A-Tor neighborhood of Jerusalem. No Israelis were wounded, but the terrorists escaped.

Palestinian terrorists opened fire on IDF forces in Jenin yesterday. In the ensuing firefight, 2 terrorists were killed, 11 were wounded, and one terrorist was captured.

The government sponsored PLO takeover of Area C accelerates . . .

According to Regavim, the only organization that monitors what is happening in Judea and Samaria, each week of this past year of our abominable government has seen the Palestinians construct 105 illegal buildings and take over another 136 dunams of Israeli land.

Each week.

This is a 100% increase over what was happening during the preceding Netanyahu government.

The Lebanon maritime “agreement” . . .

The “agreement”, fortunately, seems (pardon the pun) dead in the water until at least after the election on November 1.

TODAY’S BLOG:

Murder At The Shuafat Checkpoint Last Night

Cpl. Noa Lazar, murdered at the Shuafat Checkpoint in Jerusalem last night.

Cpl. Noa Lazar, murdered at the Shuafat Checkpoint in Jerusalem last night. May her memory always be for a blessing.

Cpl. Noa Lazar, an 18-year-old Border Policewoman from Bet Hefer, was murdered at the Shuafat Checkpoint in Jerusalem last night in a shooting by Palestinian terrorists.

A private security guard was critically wounded in the same attack after being shot in the head. He was operated on by neurosurgeons at Hadassah Hospital Mt. Scopus throughout the night. He needs your prayers.

The attack took place at 9:10 pm. After shooting the Israelis, the terrorists drove into Jerusalem where there is currently an intensive manhunt underway. A number of people have been arrested this morning–though not the apparent shooter(s).

This morning, “Defense” Minister Benny Gantz disingenuously tweeted:

“Deep sorrow over the death of IDF fighter Sergeant Noa Lazar in the attack at the Shoafat crossing. I wish a full recovery for the injured. The fight against terrorism will continue in all dimensions and with all the required intensity. We will put our hands on the abominable terrorist and everyone who helped him.”

It is worthwhile remembering that the policies of leniency toward terrorists and the opening of the doors of Israel to Palestinians instituted by Benny Gantz, PM Lapid, and Homeland Security Minister Omer Bar-Lev are what has led to the current terror war taking place here.

Palestinian terrorists have seen Gantz, Lapid, and Bar-Lev calling Jews in Judea and Samaria “terrorists”, destroying young Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria, and facilitating a PLO takeover of Area C–all actions which have emboldened them to declare war on Israel.

Note that even in his tweet, Gantz betrays his true feelings when he writes that the fight against terrorism will continue “with all the required intensity.” There is no such thing as “required intensity” when fighting terrorists. There is only “absolute overwhelming intensity.”

There is no humanitarian way to eliminate terrorists.
