        Poignant Tweet of the Night

Benjamin Netanyahu – בנימין נתניהו

 @netanyahu

שרה רעייתי האהובה, שמח שחזרת הביתה בשלום וללא פגע. האנרכיה חייבת להיפסק – זה יכול לעלות בחיי אדם.

Sarah my beloved wife, glad you returned home safely and unharmed. The anarchy must stop – it can cost lives.

When Sara finally was able to return home after midnight.

When Sara finally was able to return home after midnight.

Try to imagine the depths to which the anti-government anarchists have fallen. Yesterday evening, Sara was spotted by a “protester” entering a hair salon in Tel Aviv. That “protester” immediately sent out the sighting and the location on social media.

Within an hour, thousands of anarchists were on the street blocking Sara from leaving, chanting vile messages at her from the street,  and throwing eggs at the front door of the salon. Incredibly, it took the police four hours to evacuate her safely from the salon. Finally, she was able to arrive home at midnight–hence the photo above in the Prime Minister’s tweet.

Here are two reactions to this indecent event:

“This is our war of liberation. Don’t let them breathe. Road blockade. Siege of houses. Everything is kosher.”

Ronen Tzur, one of the leaders of the anti-government movement.

“Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir; Fire the local police officer and the district commander who for 4 hours were unable to give the police an order to disperse by force a gang that threatens to execute the Prime Minister’s wife. They do not deserve to stay in their position even for one night. Fire them now!”

Erez Tadmor, Israeli commentator

The bottom line to this sorry episode is that once again the “left” has shown that is has absolutely no decency.

The News on the Israeli Street

The war in Judea and Samaria.

Shooting attack:

Palestinian terrorists fired 2 anti-tank rifles at the IDF pillbox at the Al-Fawwar Junction southwest of Hevron.

IED, Molotov, and “rock” attacks:

Palestinian terrorists tried to murder Israelis between Tapuach and Ariel near Marda–a 2-year-old infant was wounded in the head, on the Gush Etzion-Hevron Road near Beit Omer, in the area of Mt. Hevron-a female driver was wounded, at the Karmi Tzur Junction, at the Hosan Bypass between Al Khader and Beitar, Beit Baraka, between Beit Anon and Kiryat Arba, on Road 458 near Kochav Hashahar, Luban al-Sharqiya northeast of Ramallah, at the small Yitzhar Junction, Huwara, between Yitzhar and the Sela Outpost, on Road 458 near Ein Samia–a mother and infant were wounded, Singil, on the Gilad Highway, north of the Halhol Junction, Al Aruv, and at other locations.

IDF, Shin Bet, and Border Police fighters captured three terrorists who murdered Ilan Ganeles. Cornered in a house in Aqabat Jaber, the terrorists surrendered. A third terrorist who tried to escape on a motorcycle was shot and killed.

Eight more terrorists who carried out shooting attacks throughout Judea and Samaria were captured on Tuesday by IDF and Shin Bet personnel:

There is a tendency in the West to think of Palestinian terrorists as "young people."

There is a tendency in the West to think of Palestinian terrorists as “children”.

 More about Huwara . . .

The hue and cry about Hawara is absurd. We have already pointed out here at OneIsrael two days how Huwara is a hotbed of terrorism where an average of two terror attacks everyday target Israelis.

Now, if you can believe it, and with all the leftists in Israel of course you can, a fundraising campaign has been started for the poor Palestinians of Huwara.

Immediately after her sons were murdered and at their gravesite on Mt. Herzl two days ago, mother Esti Yaniv spoke of the importance of unity. Her message has been picked up by President Herzog and PM Netanyahu.

However, the fundraiser for Huwara has infuriated her. Yesterday she made a Youtube in which she said:

“Every day I watch the village of the Huwara murderers: here the murderer of my children hangs around; here they handed out candy and celebrated after the murders. I was shocked by this dark fundraising campaign the day after that many residents of Huwara celebrated after the murder of my children.

People of Israel, we must not get confused. We are people who desire life and they are people who desire death. In the face of this dark campaign, we embarked on a campaign that will add good light and kindness to the world. A campaign that will strengthen settlement, increase the study of the Torah, and strengthen and embrace our fighting soldiers. We call on all the people of Israel: join us and help us add kindness And light for the pure memory of my children.”

You will not find a worthier cause.

 A tragic discovery . . .

Avraham Paley, the father who was badly wounded in the Ramot ramming attack which resulted in the deaths of two of his sons, awoke from his 19-day coma yesterday.

Only to find out that his two sons had been killed.

A busy day in the Knesset yesterday . . .

The Knesset Constitution, Law, and Justice Committee chaired by Simcha Rothman voted to send two laws to the Knesset:

*the Judicial Review Law

*the Override Law

The Knesset Health Committee approved legislation, the “Chametz Law”, that would prohibit–at a hospital manager’s discretion– “non-kosher for Passover” food from being served in hospitals during Passover.  It now goes to the Knesset for three readings.

The full Knesset approved in its first reading a law imposing the death penalty for terrorists who kill Israeli citizens. The jurisdiction of the law would extend to Judea and Samaria. There are two more readings until this becomes law.

The full Knesset approved in its first reading the cancellation of the statute of limitations on sexual offenses. Again, two more readings must pass before this becomes law. This legislation comes on the heels of heavily reported cases in the news in the last few months of sexual offenses that were committed more than 20 years ago (the current statute of limitations) for which the perpetrators cannot now be prosecuted.

The perverse video of the day . . .

Just when you think you’ve seen everything. Click here to see a kindergarten teacher who took her 4-year-olds to the “demonstration” yesterday as she had them chant “democracy”.

TODAY’S BLOG

The Anarchists Cross A Red Line

So what happened between the time your humble servant posted yesterday’s blog which showed photos that I took in the morning with the streets around the Azrieli Center in Tel Aviv completely empty and the afternoon which found anarchists in pitched battles with police?

Quite simply, the provocateurs put out the call to come to the intersection, and their fellow anarchists did. With organizers urging them on with bullhorns, the anarchists violently pushed down police barricades to the junction itself and to the entry ramp for the Ayalon South Freeway.

For once, the police aggressively responded to the aggression by throwing smoke grenades and using police on horseback to try to disperse the crowd.

Police officers and anarchists were injured in the melee that ensued. Numerous anarchists were arrested.

Minister of National Security Ben Gvir came to police headquarters to survey the scene on television monitors, but left before the main melee took place.

Police Commissioner Chief Superintendent Ya’akov Shabtai had this to say afterwards:

“Today’s events are difficult and sad. The Israel Police considers the right to protest as a cornerstone in a democratic country, but at the same time we will not allow violations of public order and we will not allow damage to property and symbols of government.

Unfortunately today, while we are working to enable an orderly life for all citizens, including the protesters, there were those who broke the order, harmed the policemen, damaged property and prevented the policemen from fulfilling their mission.

I call on the citizens of the State of Israel to behave responsibly, without provocations or violence against the police officers and understand that the use of force will only be used in the event of injury to the police officers or danger to citizens and public order. We have police officers who were injured today as a result of the violence of demonstrators and we will punish those responsible for this. Violence against police officers such as throwing stones and objects at police officers is, for me, crossing a red line that we will not allow.”

Yes, a red line has been crossed.
