Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours

Israeli security personnel were assaulted with “rocks” and Molotovs in Nabi Saleh, Qalandiya, A-Ram, Husan, Hizma, Azariah, Hevron, and Beit Ummar among other places.

Israeli motorists were attacked with “rocks” at Gittit Avishar, Makel, Ma’ale Amos, Michmas, and the Tapuach Junction.

All told, there were more than 30 Palestinian terror attacks during the day.

TODAY’S BLOG:

Obama’s Last Hurrah?

SPECIAL NEWS: The Egyptians have just announced that they are delaying the vote (described below) in the Security Council. Amazingly, the rumored reason is that they did not want to antagonize President-elect Trump. As soon as the vote was canceled, Secretary of State John Kerry also canceled his planned news conference.

Today’s blog as it appeared before the special news above:

A unique pain or grief comes from preparing a place in your cialis pill online life for a child that never comes. Further avoid taking alcohol, cialis generic pharmacy nicotine and smoking. First Attempts to Fly with Humans tadalafil canadian pharmacy France is also the birthplace of the first manned flight in a balloon. So what is going to happen today in the United Nations’ Security Council? Will the United States veto the Egyptian-sponsored resolution condemning Israeli construction in Judea, Samaria, and Jerusalem, or not?

Several weeks ago, Obama’s lapdog, Secretary of State John Kerry, indicated that no veto would be forthcoming should such a resolution be proposed. Nothing has happened since then to indicate that we should expect a different result.

In a very real sense, the Barack Obama not ordering the veto of an anti-Israel resolution on construction would neatly complete a circle that began to be drawn even before Obama first took office back in January of 2009.

It was perhaps in June 2008 when we first got a glimpse of Obama’s true feelings on the issue. It was in that month that Obama made his infamous AIPAC speech in which he declared that Jerusalem should always remain undivided. Less than 24 hours later, Obama issued a “clarification” explaining that he really didn’t mean “undivided” in a political sense.

Almost one year later, in May 2009, Obama told Netanyahu that  “settlements have to be stopped in order for us to move forward.”

And that became the mantra of the Obama Administration–ranted continuously by Obama, Hillary Clinton, and John Kerry. Your humble servant does not think that there has been more than a handful of daily news briefings at the U.S. State Department during in the last seven years that haven’t emphasized the absurd point that “settlements are the main obstacle to peace.”

Now that we have come, thankfully, to the end of Obama’s term there is no reason to expect that the Barack Obama will change his spots.

If there are any silver linings to the U.N. vote today, they are these:

1. First, we have had President-elect Trump already declaring this morning that if he were president, he would veto the resolution. Your humble servant hopes this a sign of good things to come.

2. If anything, the reaction in Israel to such a resolution will be to heighten calls for annexation of Area C of Judea and Samaria–something that should have happened long ago.
