SPECIAL NOTICE

Yom Hazikaron, Israel’s Memorial Day, ends tonight at sundown. As are all Yom Hazikarons, it has been a day of intense sadness and remembrance of all of those who gave their lives that Israel might exist. Hundreds of thousands of Israelis have visited cemeteries and gathered in tearful memorial ceremonies.

In 45 minutes, at the moment Yom Hazikaron ends, Israel will erupt in joyous Independence Day celebrations.

Happy 69th birthday to modern Israel!!!

The News on the Israel Street Today

The Palestinians spent all of Yom Hazikaron trying to add to the number of murdered Israelis by carrying out terror attacks throughout Judea and Samaria.

Almost everyday, israelstreet publishes a list of some of the many places where terrorists attack Israelis. Most of the attacks we chronicle are “rock” and Molotov attacks on Israeli civilians and soldiers. But we rarely show the results of those attacks.

Here is one of the attacks yesterday–this is what happened to an Israeli family’s car as it was being driven near Tekoa:

Miraculously, the driver kept control of the car and made it to a security checkpoint.

Miraculously, the driver kept control of the car and made it to a security checkpoint. Not only was the windshield shattered but also the driver’s side window.

Here is another picture of the same car:

Another Israeli narrowly escaped death when a "rock" was thrown through the window.

Other attacks just like the one above took place at Beit Anun, in the Hevron Hills, near the Shuley Har Melech monument, at Ein Yabrud, at Atarot, Husan, Migdalot, Efrat, Bethany, the Jit Junction, Ofra, Karnei Shomron, and Ras Karkar.

Still other attacks targeting soldiers took place at the Qalandiya Checkpoint, at Rachel’s Tomb, near Ramallah, Jenin, Asira, Shechem, and Hevron.

UNESCO is “celebrating” Israel Independence Day by voting on a resolution that denies any Israeli sovereignty over Jerusalem.

J Street is “celebrating” Israeli Independence Day by hosting Israeli delegitimizers “Breaking the Silence” at Princeton University.

Left wing protesters in Tel Aviv are “celebrating” Israel Independence Day by showing solidarity with the Palestinians (a brawl has already broken out).

The Israel Supreme Court “celebrated” Israel Independence Day by reaffirming that a monument to IDF soldiers Ezra Asher and Emmanuel Moreno located on the Path of the Patriarchs in Hevron must be destroyed.

And the list goes on and on….

But Palestinian terrorists, Israeli leftists, UNESCO, the Israel Supreme Court, J Street, and others like them will not even make the smallest dint in our sheer unadulterated joy in Israel as we celebrate our Independence Day!

Happy birthday Israel!
