The News on the Israel Street

Palestinian terror yesterday . . .

*From Route 443 between Beit Horon and Givat Ze’ev to Road 437 near Hizma, Palestinian terrorists assaulted Israeli motorists with “rocks” and Molotov firebombs.

*A stabbing was thwarted at the Shuafat Checkpoint when alert Border Policemen spotted a terrorist armed with a knife. The terrorist was captured, and no Israelis were harmed.

*The Halamish butcherer was in court yesterday to be arraigned for the slaughter of the three members of the Salomon family. You will remember that Tova Salomon, the grandmother and mother who survived the attack, told how the terrorist was laughing as he stabbed the family. He was still smiling yesterday.

Just so you remember what the above terrorist did, here is a picture of the bloody aftermath of his slaughter:

The idiotic Foreign Ministry of Israel . . .

You will remember, dear reader, that a week ago we reported that the Israel government was going to try to shut down Al-Jazeera in Israel. As we pointed out at the time, it is not going to be an easy task.

First, we said that Israeli left-wing journalists would raise and hue and cry about revoking Al-Jazeera press credentials–and so they have.

Second, we noted that the leftist Israel High Court would somehow get involved. That has yet to happen, but surely will.

But even we did not anticipate that our own Foreign Ministry would step in to try to help Al-Jazeera as they did yesterday. In an astonishing display of outright stupidity, the Foreign Ministry wrote a letter to the Prime Minister’s Office warning that such a move would “cause damage to Israel” because it would show that we are “undemocratic.”

Can you even believe this? Here we have a network that openly incites violence against our citizens and soldiers, and we are supposed to believe that revoking their press privileges in Israel would cause us damage?

And for that matter, how can Israel be more damaged in the arena of international news; virtually every mainstream network in the world is already anti-Israel in its outlook and reportage.

But guess what? Following the Foreign Ministry letter, the Israel National Security Council asked the Foreign Ministry to write a report detailing what the damages would be.

Unbelievable.

Minors getting married in Israel . . .

Getting married under the age of 18 is supposedly against the law in Israel; however, such marriages regularly take place.

Just how many take place was revealed yesterday.

In 2016, more than 772 minor marriages took place. Eleven of these marriages involved 14 or 15 year old minors; the rest involved sixteen and seventeen year olds.

So who is getting married so young? Geography tells the tale: 540 marriages took place in eastern Jerusalem (read “Arabs”); 80 marriages took place in Be’ersheva with another 23 in Rahat (read “Bedouins”); and the remainder took place in Jerusalem (15), Netanya (14), and other places such as Bnei Brak (read “ultra-orthodox Jews”).

TODAY’S BLOG:

Summertime . . . And The “Killing” Is Easy . . .

It’s summertime here in Israel and perhaps where you are as well. Families are taking vacations, and children are going to summer camps. Children learn arts and crafts, and generally have fun doing all kinds of sports. Parents come to pick up their kids at the end of camp at which time the children demonstrate all they have learned.

And so it was yesterday down in Gaza where the poor, oppressed Palestinians, who don’t have a penny to their names or enough food to eat because of the “vast humanitarian crisis” there, all came out to watch their playful, peace-loving, children display the wonderful things they learned at summer camp.

And what did they learn? Here are a few pictures from one of the camps (these are all screen shots taken from a video produced by the camp).

First, the children marched out on stage in their summer camp clothes:

The picture is self-explanatory. Note the "playthings" in their hands that they industriously built themselves.

Then, the children demonstrated how they learned to throw “rocks” and Molotovs at Jews:

Note the wonderful costumes of the Jews and the proud parent taking pictures in the background as the kids throw things at the Jews.

Then, the children demonstrated how they emerge from a tunnel:

Again, self-explanatory.

Then the children demonstrated how, once out of the tunnel,  they learned to kidnap Israeli soldiers and kill them:

We are not going to show you the next scene in which they "killed" the Israeli soldier.

Summertime . . .  and the killing is easy . . .
