The Heartwarming Quotation of the Day:

“All the fields that were black because of the Molotov balloon and kite terror have become green.”

Tamir Aidan, head of the Negev Field Council, calling on Israelis to come visit the South.

The good news is that the fields and flowers along the Gaza border have remarkably sprung back to life even if it will take decades for the forests and animals to return.

The Heartwrenching Photo of the Day:

One of the grape vines destroyed in Tel Hevron yesterday by Palestinians.

The vineyard where the vines were destroyed is in ancient Tel Hevron in the Ma’alot Yishai neighborhood; the vines were planted 8 years ago by a farmer in the Jewish community of Hevron. Amazingly, the terrorists who destroyed the vineyard were permitted into the area in order to tend a Palestinian olive grove nearby. The entire incident was filmed on IDF security cameras, but the IDF has thus far refused to take action.

The News On The Israeli Street

Palestinian terror in Judea and Samaria . . .

*Very interestingly, Border Police reported yesterday that a Palestinian “rock” attack took place near Yatma. As you may not remember Yatma is the location where the Palestinian woman was killed by a “rock” thrown into her car last October. Five Israeli teens were arrested for that attack; all but one of them have now been released because of lack of evidence. From the moment that the October attack occurred, we have suggested on israelstreet that it was highly likely that the rock was thrown by Palestinians who thought they were targeting Israeli motorists.

*Other “rock” and Molotov attacks took place between Beitar and Al-Khader, at Mount Hevron where a yeshiva student was wounded in the head, Uzrin, Shabtin, near the Ma’ale Shomron Junction, throughout Gush Etzion, Umm Safa, and at a myriad of other locations.

The European Union continues to delegitimize Israel . . .

The Ministry for Strategic and Public Affairs under Gilad Erdan revealed today that despite European claims to the contrary, the EU funded ten Palestinian organizations that support the BDS boycott against Israel to the tune of tens of millions of Euros during 2017-18.

Ten organizations alone received 5 million Euros led by the despicable NGOs Al Haq and Al-Mezan.

Israel fought to keep Mahmoud Abbas alive . . .

It was also revealed today that at a moment last year when PLO Chairman Mahmoud Abbas’ life was in danger from the various maladies he has, Israel secreted a specialist to Ramallah to save his life.

After two days of intensive treatment from the Israeli doctor, Abbas left the hospital–and has since returned to his usual functions of inciting terror against Israelis and bashing Israel at every venue and opportunity.

Good news from the Kineret . . . but not good enough . . .

All of the winter rains have raised the water level of the Kineret (Sea of Galilee) to 213.695 meters–an increase of o.954 meters. However, the level of the lake is still 4.9 meters lower than “normal.”

TODAY’S BLOG:

Ludicrosity Personified: PM Netanyahu and Hamas

“There may be someone in Gaza who thinks he can raise his head. [If Hamas attacks], our reaction in Gaza will be very painful and deadly. We are prepared for any scenario.”

PM Netanyahu, speaking today on a tour of the Gaza border following the incident yesterday in which an IDF soldier was shot in the head by a Hamas sniper (fortunately his helmet saved him). In response, the IDF blew up a Hamas observation post and accidentally killed a Hamas commander who forgot to get out despite warnings.

The idea that Netanyahu will authorize a painful and deadly Israeli reaction in Gaza is absurd on its face.

Just as is the idea that Netanyahu will suspend the $15 million dollar blackmail payment to Hamas. Yesterday, the Prime Minister’s Office announced that it was being suspended. This morning, the Qatari Ambassador–who is in Jerusalem with his suitcase of money–said that payment would be made as soon as there is “quiet.”

Which almost certainly means in the next 24 hours.

On an even more ludicrous note, Hamas announced today that it has formed a “commission of inquiry” to investigate the Hamas sniper shooting of the IDF soldier. Speaking through Egyptian mediaries, Hamas proclaimed that the shooting was “unacceptable” to them.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

What a sick joke.

Hamas sends its terrorists out to the border fence everyday with the expressed intent of either kidnapping or killing IDF soldiers.

Remember the Hamas billboard in Gaza last Thursday that called on Hamasniks to go to the border fence the next day?

A sign that went up in a square in Gaza City last night calling on Hamasniks to go to the border today. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand what Hamas wants its foot-soldiers to do.

A sign that went up in a square in Gaza City on January 17th.

Who exactly was supposed to be blown up by the dynamite?

I think you know the answer to that question, dear reader.
