SPECIAL NOTICE:

Your humble servant continues to be in areas of South America with spotty internet connections at best. As a result, there have been several days recently on which no israelstreet blog appeared. We appreciate your understanding and  patience.

The News  On The Israeli Street

Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .

It has been another day of massive “rock” and Molotov attacks targeting Israeli men, women, and children in Judea and Samaria at such places as Beit El, Neve Tzuf, Nabi Elias, Givat Assaf, Dier Nizam, Road 564, Kiryat Arba, Ariel, Al-Aruv, Ofra, Hirbet al-Mitshbeh, Negohot, Ali,  Al- Muayyir, Road 443, Al-Fawwar, Tapuach, and Azzun.

Numerous Israelis were wounded and others were treated for trauma.

The above information is taken from citizens’ reports that were posted on rotter, hakolhayehudi, Rescue 443, Rescue Judea and Samaria, and elsewhere.

Eleven days until the election . . .

As the clock ticks down to the election, the left and the media are hard at work creating fake reports supposedly tying PM Netanyahu to stock gains from a company involved with building submarines. At the same time, Likud’s main opposition–the Blue and White Party of Benny Gantz and Yair Lapid–continues to suffer from bumbling interviews and financial revelations.

Interestingly, the only “group” (not “party”) that seems to be incrementally gaining is the “right block” which would receive 66 votes in the Knesset according to the most recent poll –which raises the interesting question of what will happen if Blue and White receives more votes than Likud.

Then, Gantz and Lapid will be asked by President Rivlin to form a government. Whether they will be able to will depend on such people on the right as Moshe Feiglin and his “Identity” party–and, as always, the ultra-orthodox religious parties.

TODAY’S BLOG:

Protecting The Enemy: Today’s Patheric New IDF* On The Gaza Border

If the events of the last week on the Gaza border were any more absurd, we would have to submit them to the Guinness Book of Farcical Records.

We began the week with Hamas firing missiles out of Gaza that hit in the Tel Aviv area. Hamas and Islamic Jihad followed this by firing more than 70 more missiles and mortars at Israeli men, women and children living in communities along the Gaza border.

This was followed by the IDF’s feeble response which saw about 300 buildings in Gaza partially (very partially) damaged and another 30 destroyed. However, as we have previously reported, not one terrorist was killed or wounded.
Hence for erection and maintaining the erection purpose the other drug called as side effects of viagra secretworldchronicle.com can also be used. Various frameworks outline salary distinctly and regularly permit notional reduces of pill sildenafil revenues. There have been many men all over the globe, who have been viagra tadalafil experiencing a number of hardships during the performance of this enzyme. Among all the available approved anti-impotency solutions viagra overnight has been discovered to be durable and effective for approximate 36hours along with producing the desirable results to provide man with his anticipated sexual ability.

Next, we have seen the Egyptians once again mediating a peace effort which continues to this hour with Hamas and Islamic Jihad demanding ever more concessions from Israel.

Next came the Hamas announcement that yesterday’s anniversary of the “Million Man March of Return” would feature a million Hamasniks attacking our soldiers on the Gaza border.

This was followed by PM Netanyahu–as he was done so often and with no effect–ordering the IDF to call up reserves and position them and more tanks like sitting ducks along the border to stop those “million Hamasniks.”

All of which brings us today which has come and gone with only about 3000-6000 Hamasniks showing up.

Finally, we have just had this astonishing statement from the IDF spokesman that is absurd on so many levels that it leaves your humble servant’s head spinning:

“If there is no violence today, significant steps will be taken to improve the situation of the civilian population in Gaza.”

Say what?

If there is “no violence” (read “just the usual assaults”), the IDF will help out the Hamasniks in Gaza?

Unbelievable.

In a larger sense, why in the world is it the IDF’s responsibility to improve the situation of the civilian population in Gaza? This is a civilian population that voted Hamas into power and actively supports never-ending terror attacks on the citizens of southern Israel.

And . . . shouldn’t the IDF be more concerned about improving the situation of the civilians living in southern Israel?

Apparently not.

Pardon your humble servant as he screams out the window.

The IDF General Command has become a shadow of its former self. All it cares about is protecting and helping the enemy–all at the expense of Israeli soldiers and civilians.

The situation on the Gaza border is beyond pathetic.

*Please note that in writing this blog, we are referring only to the IDF General Command–not to our brave soldiers on the front lines.
