The Photo/Video That Tells It All

Here we have the result of years of battered IDF morale, years of IDF prosecutions of innocent IDF soldiers, years of seminars and lectures given to IDF soldiers by “human rights” NGOs, years of having a General Command wholly subservient to political correctness:

IDF soldiers tucking tail and running away from Palestinian "rock" throwers at Kafr Qadum yesterday.

IDF soldiers tucking tail and running away from Palestinian “rock” throwers at Kafr Qadum yesterday.

The above photo is a screen shot taken from a video yesterday that shows two IDF soldiers running for their lives until finally ducking around the corner of the concrete structure you see on the left.

The video has gone viral on Palestinian and Israeli social networks this morning. So much so that the IDF spokesman was forced to give this ridiculous “explanation”:

“This is a permanent disturbance every Friday in Qadum village. The IDF placed fighters in an ambush for stone throwers, and the soldiers completed their mission and moved to another position while running – the fighters did not run away but ran. The video does not include the forces present at the event, it is tendentious, and does not reflect the fighters’ action in dispersing the confrontations and the full situation that was in place.”

What a joke. “The fighters did not run away but ran”?

More Orwellian dissembling from the IDF spokesman.

Of course they ran. They ran because the IDF will not let them take action to stop the “rock throwers”; they ran because they knew that if they acted to defend themselves, they would hauled before a court martial.

Such is the pathetic state of the IDF General Command these days.

A Nonstarter? The Trump Economic Deal Of The Century Unveiled

Palestinians rioting in the streets of Hevron this morning. Their message is clear.

Palestinians rioting in the streets of Hevron this morning. Their message is clear.

Much to the surprise of virtually everyone, the American team that will attend the Bahrain Conference in three days revealed the economic segment of the three-part Trump Peace Plan yesterday.

Entitled “Peace to Prosperity – The Economic Plan: A New Vision for the Palestinian People” and focuses on virtually every aspect of Palestinian society ranging from education and taxes to roads and rail lines. One of those rail lines will presumably link “the West Bank” and Gaza.

It boldly states that it is “the most ambitious and comprehensive international effort for the Palestinian people to date. It has the ability to fundamentally transform the West Bank and Gaza and to open a new chapter in Palestinian history – one defined, not by adversity and loss, but by freedom and dignity.”

It envisions:

*An international investment fund to be set up for the Palestinian, Jordanian, Egyptian, and Lebanese economies.

*$50 billion to be invested in these economies over the next 10 years: $28 billion dollars to be invested in the Palestinian economy, and $22 billion dollars to be invested in the Jordanian, Egyptian, and Lebanese economies. This money to come from U.S. taxpayers, Arab countries in the Gulf, various Western countries, and the private sector.

The treatment is recommended to men who have serious diabetes and have lost all hopes canada pharmacy cialis of gaining an erection. Erection problems are common in both young as well as old men, but we recommend old men to get the erection even better than they use to get generic levitra online http://cute-n-tiny.com/cute-animals/hamster-eating-spaghetti/ when they were young. This is uncommon, however, and is only recommended for those viagra cialis generic men who are above 18 years. Just for your knowledge, the most popular impotence medication, sildenafil india price, was originally formulated for chest pain.

The plan is startlingly specific in its goals. It proposes to:

*create one million new jobs

*more than double the Palestinian GDP

*cut the poverty rate by 50%

*double the potable water supply

*increase the foreign direct investment share of Palestinian GDP from 1.4% to 8%

*increase Palestinian exports as a percentage of GDP from 17% to 40%

*increase female labor force participation rate from 20% to 35%

*reduce infant mortality from 18 to 9 per 1,000 births

*increase average life expectancy from 74 to 80 years

—and on and on . . .

The plan itself is a grand one–overly so. It is yet another of the dozens of opportunities for peace that have come the Palestinians’ way. And it is yet another that the Palestinians are already rejecting.

This morning, amidst the riots such as the one above in Hevron, the PLO declared:

“The American administration proposes a solution based on the use of Arab money to kill the political aspirations of the Palestinian people. And we ask – is it not better that the Arabs do not allow the US to blackmail them in such a humiliating manner, instead it is better to reopen the Arab peace initiative and provide the financial cover needed for its implementation?”

Finally, if the Trump economic plan seems “pie in the sky”, it is because it is. As stated above, it envisions a Palestinian society and culture “defined, not by adversity and loss, but by freedom and dignity.”

Palestinian culture is based on victimhood and exaltation of death, and it is fair to say that in their eternal infancy and beggary, the Palestinians have never evidenced one ounce of dignity.
